As this is the retentions thread, then yes.

    Yes, I was quite surprised.
  • I wish I'd been offered that!!!

I just phoned them and was told that no matter what talk plan I went onto, the cost of the HTC Desire would be £100!

Surprisingly, I didn't think that was the best deal - I requested my PAC code.

I honestly thought I'd be able to get it for less than that - free probably!

I spoke to a nice young lady today about upgrading and explained my situation.

Anyway, the lass said she could give me 400 minutes, unlimited texts, 80mb of Internet for £22 a month, plus a range of free phones. The x10 was £149 for me, so I guess I'm not a high band customer. I asked her to put it on hold for me, and in the mean time I'm going to speak to retentions to see what they can offer me.

Thank you Old Gold. I thought I had imagined the rudeness I experienced. A complete disinterest in my custom and very rude and unhelpful member of staff greeted me when I rang in last week.
My PAC code arrived this morning so it's bye bye Orange for me!

I agree with you both. I have spoken to 7 retention staff and it seems like Orange currently does not value its existing customers.

It seems they want to retain only the top spenders which is obvious.

No, I have been on Dolphin25 for the last 17mths which I have been getting for £20. My total bill is never more than £30.

Anyway, I now need to wait for the text to advise its back in stock.
