Orange Retention Offers

Hey, thought I'd let you all know about my retentions experience today.
Just entered the final 30 days of my contract so phoned through to retentions, and asked for my pac and notice of contract termination. The girl asked what offer I'd seen so I told her; 600mins, 500txts, unlimited internet and a free Galaxy S on T-Mob for £25 a month (24 months). Anyway, first of all she came back with 200 mins, unlimited txt and internet for £15 a month plus £150 for the handset. I politely declined since I hate paying anything for a phone.
Anywho, so she asked to put me on hold to see what else she could offer, and came back with
Free Samsung Galaxy S
400 mins
unlimited texts
'unlimited' internet (fair useage of 500mb)
Handset insurance
= £26 a month. (24mths)
I accepted. £1 more than I was willing to pay on TMob but I'm pretty sure the insurance is worth that! (minutes mean nothing to me, I make about 40 minutes of calls a month)
Phone should be arriving tomorrow, very happy chappy indeed. Missed out on quidco but.... can't have it all. At least I have Mazuma to fall back on with my old handset!0 -
Well the 3gb allowance and no charge for going over on t mobile is better lol0

Fair useage on the TMob Flexi Booster unlimited internet is 1gb.
My monthly useage at the moment is about 125mb. I'll probably start using the mobile net a bit more now I've got a bettery smartphone, but I think 500mb will still be plenty. It'll be nice to have handset insurance to fall back on should anything happen, so for an extra £1 a month I think its a fair trade.0 -
I just got a Sony Ericsson Xperia for £49.99, 600 mins, unlimited texts, free mobile internet and I also get free internet on my PC at home as I have been with them for ages for £22.50 a month. Hi, Daughter wants a blackberry bold, called them today as out of contract. Offered 600 mins unltd text 500mbt Internet and 15 picture messages for £17.50 pmonth. Only problem is they want £150 for the bold! Had a 24 month contract 100 mins unlt texts paying £17 pm. The contract is fine but don't want to shell out for the phone. Is it worth trying again or is it reasonable. Thanks0

And again
I have had a Corporate Staff 10% Disc on my bill, (out of contract and planning to upgrade 8GB 3GS iphone), do you think this will stay once I upgrade??
Many thanks0 -
Haven't been in this thread in a while.
Anyway, to keep the barometer ticking over, I got the following retention deal for my fiancee this week:
200 minutes
400 texts
Unlimited landline calls
Unlimited internet
Nokia 6303i Classic
£10 a month for 24 months.
She was happy with that, as indeed was I. For information purposes, she had been on £10 a month with 100 minutes and unlimited texts for 24 months prior to that, so this is a significant step up.
Now I need to get something similar when I go back to retentions for me in October......"MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0 -
