Orange Retention Offers

No they are not, each time I upgrade and NO STOCK appears Orange never text as assured, thats 3 accounts over 6 years. Come upgrade time at least 1 of the 3 mobiles I wanted - out of stock, NEVER a text, always a call back to retentions. If I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:0 -
Just phoned to ask for my pac code. He asked why I was leaving and I said because you want to charge me a lot more. Then there was total disinterest as if it is company policy to get rid of customers like myself. Now I was on a good deal but only one that they had offered me. But I am regarded as costing them money and made to feel as if I am cheating them. Now if I am costing them money how comes I can at least match my previous deal if not better it with another network?
If this is the attitude from Orange then I am better off with another company. I have been with Orange for four years and in that time I have recommnded them to various people which obviously will not be the case now. So you tell me if their attitude makes sense.
Oh by the way I had spoken with two advisors before this and got the same attitude from them so its not just a one off.0 -
Thank you Old Gold. I thought I had imagined the rudeness I experienced. A complete disinterest in my custom and very rude and unhelpful member of staff greeted me when I rang in last week.
My PAC code arrived this morning so it's bye bye Orange for me!0 -
This is what i've been thinking of doing. I went through retentions last year and got down to 800 mins/ unltd texts/ unltd internet for £25 a month.
This time i'm debating either sticking with this contract, or lowering it if they'll let me and getting the Blackberry bold for free, that's around £300 on PAYG and selling it on, or going for an inexpensive phone but knocking my contract down to as low as possible.
Also i'm unsure when to try and go for retentions this time...because I was abroad during the volcano, one of my bills was £130. I know they judge what band you are by the last 6 months spend. But also that the closer you get to your contract expiring the more likely you are to get a better deal.
So I don't know whether to call 1 month before my contract expires when the £130 bill is still within the last 6 months, or to call a couple of days before my contract expires, but the £130 bill won't count then?

Why thank you! I'd heard something about the micro sim not really being any different to the normal one.0 -

you are so lucky i am in month 14 of 18 and in that time had 6 replacement samsung handsets ( a brand i will never touch again) been unable to use my phone at home since I moved house and they won't give me the PAC code unless I buy out the remainder of my contract which is £200 I have been with them for 10 years and it gets you nowhere I have lost count of the number of advisors I have spoken to about my orange phone or my orange mobile dongle which has not connected to the internet since january but i am still charged for it every month :mad:SLIMMING WORLD 13/5/2012- 6lb loss total weight loss 5 stone 8lb

yep i echo you message there ,been a customer for 10 years phoned in to be met with a verbal shrug as if they do not care ,i didnt want the earth just a deal near to my last one + a new desire for 49.99
i ordered my pac there and then ...and he said its on the way ,god knows how many people i have recommended to orange ,my partner has 9 with them through her company and 2 broadband accounts ...time to move on0 -
Each time you ring in to Orange, it affects your loyalty budget. The more you ring in, and the more times they go into your account into the loyalty area, it affects your budget if you dont accept the deal, which, if the phones out of stock, you cant. Be wary of that.
Seaniboy is wrong in saying they texts arent always sent out. They are.
just when i was thnking of leaving orange i get a text earlier from orange to say its in stock and to call to get 1, oh mark when you say it affects my loyalty budget do you mean id get more of a budget or less,
cheers mark0
