Orange - I am out of contract and they have offered me an Iphone 4 upgrade with 10% off my line rental.

    Anyone got better than that?

Been with them 5 years and they are wiping out 40% off loyalty bonus line rental ..but hey they are giving me 10% back!

10%'s more than most get, take it.

I understand they've changed their tune on micro sims, so the other idea may work as well !

    I finally got my desire

When I rang up upgrades, the guy offered me the same tariff now but for an extra fiver I could get unlimited internet - so would be 100mins, unltd texts and unltd internet

Now I went into the store and told the guy this, and he put me on 200mins, ultd texts and 500mb internet - (Dolphin 20)

I was under the impression he was putting me on unlimited

Now I'm annoyed that I haven't got unlimited (tho I know its FUP 500mb, but stilll the option to have it as FUP instead of being charged once I go over)

    Help

If he can't be civil and courteous to his customers when he's having a bad day then he is most certainly in the wrong job!
EXACTLY, that goes for everyone in customer care regardless of company.

Trust me, you wouldn't believe some of the call the front line get.

I had one caller who I just couldn't find on the system, I apologised that I couldn't find his Orange acc and he says 'I'm not on Orange I'm with Vodafone."

So I tell him he's talking to Orange and he's says

"Yeah, I know, but if I call Voda they charge me, it's free to call you."

After I told him I couldn't help him he call me an unhelpful ^%^& and puts the phone down. . .

PMSL oh Jon your due me a Pamper :)

LOL ! CLASS, even comedians cant write !!!! like that !!

Orange or T mobile?? I don't know which one to get. I want the 1gb/3gb data on Tmobile - but I'm with orange and have heard tmobile network coverage is dodgy in Norn iron
2G is dodgy as anywhere, the base staion serving at my dads address is 2G and wont be replaced with dual 2G/3G till its completely dead - that came from T-Mobs OWN technical engineer & still they demanded PAY the contract out to leave, its been like that for 6+ yrs now and its on the outskirts of a major city !!

3G T-Mob is connected with 3UK for 3G signal via a joint company - highly superior to T-Mobs 2G, try a payg sim on Orange & T-Mob on a 3G mobile in your usual haunts & make a decision, Orange 3G for me on a i-phone 3GS is terrible but all other 3G handsets its great - apart from my flat with steal/solid concrete walls, even 2G Orange struggles so I use UMA with Orange at home/wifi other places & its superior to Vodafone Sure Signal....and for FREE !

Cant do that ! your loyalty build up remains unless you say they can....regardless they are no legal T&C that say i-phone plans are excluded from loyalty discounts. Now I have posted that it will pop up on Orange's website in the T&C, mark my words ! ;)

Different depts get different allocations, NEW customers offers are to intice you to mOranGE*, upgraders already have been grasped by mOranGE by the balls...just be a little patient and ask for a goodwill credit for the wait :) since "current customers treated like new" is not how you have been treated due to "computer says NO"

*references the internal computer systems and not the vast % of employees.

  • I called Orange today to see if they would be able to offer anything attractive on a SIM only deal seeing as they told me that the HTC Desire I had previously ordered ate up the majority of any loyalty offers they could give me,

Ok so the best they could do was:

300 mins and unlimited text for £15... Or bolt on 500Mb web for an extra £5.

I get better than that currently. It looks like I may well be leaving Orange after 5 years.
