That's what I would like but the only time I rang up I got offered the same deal in both upgrade and retentions! I thought retentions would offer better than upgrades but noooo....
They offered me 100mins, unltd texts and unltd internet for £20 p/m with £150 for phone (24months) not very good!!
I want what you got offered...0 -
I called up to cancel today, given i'm tempted to move over to an iphone...
Are they correct in saying if i straight cancel my contract, i need to be sent a payg sim, they will transfer my number over onto that, and then i would need to transfer to my new contract once i sign up?
Seems a long way round of doing things.0 -

If you cancel, you lose your number.
If you ask for a payg sim they'll move it to that. BUT you have to call and register it, your contact will not end until you do.
There are threads on here about once a month where people have got the payg sim and just thrown it in a draw and done nothing with it and then a few months later they find they're still being charged for their contact !0 -

The difficulty seems to be the timing as far as I can see. It has to be in the last month of the contract but you will always lose out at least a few days on your contract.0 -
You can't cancel AND get a pac. Its one or the other.
If you cancel the contact ends in 30 days and the numbers lost.
If you take your pac, when you use it your old contact end and the number gets transferred to your new network.0 -
Hi I have got a blackberry on Orange. I am pretty happy with it but want a new one as its looking a bit battered after a year:o
I currently pay £29 per month for 600 mins and 500 texts but don't use half of my mins:o, so I want a new blackberry with a lower tariff.......do you think this is reasonable?
Yeah I think if you ask for around £20 a month, you might get that.0 -

18 Months
400 Mins
Unlimited Texts
500Mb
£22.50 Per Month
£50 off the phone bringing it down to £100.
OR The other deal offered was:
24 Months
400 Mins
Unlimited Texts
500Mb
£17.50 Per Month
Phone for £100.
Neither of these deals appeal to me. I don't want a 2 year contract and I certainly don't want the same minutes/texts as I currently get for MORE money that I currently pay. So much for customer loyalty bonuses eh.
You say so much for loyalty, but straight away I can see your a band 3 customer, also, you have had a £30 talkplan with no internet for £20 a month with internet. Your bills obviously are around that amount each month, Orange havent made enough money off you to give you a better than new customer offer, so sorry but its just tough. Like it or lump it.0 -

Heres the catch with P4U
No returns on the phone. So if you dont like it, or it breaks. Your stuck.
Any problems, and I mean any, you need to deal with P4U, as your not buying anything when you have a problem, they dont care. If you leave Orange, please go to a network directly.
That way youve got returns policies, warranty etc.0 -
No catch, I didn't take out insurance, much to the bemusement of the staff. I just carry on, the only thing they said could happen is in 3 months when my contract was due to end, Orange may call to sort a deal on the tariff. Having run Orange though, I'm now on the contract until 2011 and the £20 a month (£25 with net) rolls over each month.
Now to decide whether to add orange Care!
I think you may have been fooled here mate.
A great trick with P4U and CPW is that they dont upgrade you, but sell you a new contract. Has your number changed? Orange will not ring you in the final 3 months if you have already upgraded. This is total B.S.
Check you only have one active account ASAP. If you have two, then thats just P4U all over for you. Even if you have one, then your lucky, and they have still misinformed you.
EDIT: After reading a further post by yourself. I see you have been duped. Well thats "Jokes 4 u" eh? Lesson learned.0
