Just got offered nothing by Orange !
Currectly a few days away from the end of an 18mth Raccoon 25 with a discount paying £10 per month.
I am not a high user, but use landlines more than mobile numbers and texts.
I rang a few weeks ago and was offered

    Nokia 2730 (yuk)
    250mins
    100texts
    Internet
    24mth contract
    £10 per month

Just rang back and was told for my usage they would offer me 600mins and it would be £17.50 per month, didn't even go as far as what phone or how many texts were included.

I have requested my pac code, I know there are alot better deals out there but I would rather stay with Orange as I don't want another credit check on my fiule for a new contract as just going through mortgage application.

How long should I leave it before ringing Orange again ? Do they keep a record of what I have previously been offered ?

    TIA

All offers 'should' be noted padded, yes.

As you got such a good deal last time you're not spending much and aren't making them any money, that's why you're not getting a good offer this time.

I really want to get my name in the queue for the Desire, as my upgrade is eligible from 12th June, what are the odds they will do this?

Doubt you'll need to queue, there's plenty of stock available at the moment and there should be even more by then

i think you will be fine, im waiting till 15 of june to upgrade and the desire should be in stock by then as most people who wanted 1 have most likely bought 1 since it was released

Fair enough, I'll hold off. Hoping for a decent deal. Don't want to pay more than £25 a month. Currently got unlim texts, 600 mins and 25MB of data for £20 a month and had a free LG Renior last time.

I'm nearing the end of an 18mth contract now and can upgrade. My contract officially ends on the 26/6. I want to upgrade to an iphone and so am hoping that the new v4 iphone will be out by then and so the prices of the 32gb will come right down.
Not been through retentions yet as will wait til the 26th June but my account says I can get the 32gb for £99.00 on a 24mth contract at £45pm.

I'm shopping around and so hope if I can get a better deal with o2 then, orange retentions will match it.

Can't see the 32 gig 3GS coming 'right down'. Apple don't discount anything as a rule. It may replace the 3G at the same price point, but that would be about the most your could hope for.

If Apple stick the what they've done over the last few years it could be out by mid July (WWDC is June 7th to 10th where it may very well be announced but takes a month or so to get to the networks).
It could be in short supply for the first month as everyone will want it (well, all the Apple fans).

Retentions cant do "deals" on iPhones, their prices are the same across the entire company. The new 4G will be out in a couple of week, the prices will plummet then (the 3G 8Gb has already been discontinued).
