Anyone else fed up waiting?
I have just called Orange and the person i spoke to could only say the release date was April.
Not very helpful at all. Also said to keep an eye on the website, which is a joke as they don't even have the Desire under 'mobiles coming soon'0 -
Has anyone managed to get the BB 9700 on an early upgrade, or even perhaps been offered a good deal?0
-
Ive just called orange re desire and the helpful guy said the last he heard was the phone was in testing and it would be released imminently and he double checked that and yes its still in testing0
-
Orange haave finally released the SE X10 I've bene waiting for (I know some ppl prefer the desire etc but I prefer the look and extra memory of the X10) so I rang up normal upgrades to test the waters.
I was instantly offered this, without any promping or negotiating or any kind
Sony Ericcson Xperia X10 - Free
600 mins
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Internet
18 months
£25
Now I was quite shocked by that
as the closest offer I can see on the standard site plans is
Phone - £100
400 mins
Unlimited text
Unlimited Net
18 month
£ 35
So I guess my question is...what do you think, is this as good as I think it is or do you think I should try to negotiate further? Seems like I've saved £100 on the phone and £180 on the contract without any effortLBM 2 - 27.05.09. Sounds good to me. This morning I got 600 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet, Orange maps, push email, 50 photo messages and free phone on an 18 month contract for £30 a month. It all depends on what you will use, there's no point paying the extra if it's not needed.0

Hmm, don't think I'd use the orange maps, the only other thing I need as well as the net + texts is insurance but they an't throw that in can they

If you left it as it was, I'd say it was a good deal. You could try and get it cheaper but if they don't budge just accept it, at least you tried.0

cheers, i'll give it a go, see what they do.LBM 2 - 27.05.09. Good luck with that, let me know what happens.0

Hey again, they wouldn't budge any further. I'm happy with it though, as it means over the couse of the contract I'm paying £558 and the phone sim free is £500 anyways. It's also £6 a month less than I was paying and as I said I've saved £180 off the contract and £100 on the phone so all is well, arrives Wednesday
