F+F acc's aren't quite the same as 'standard' acc's.

Best bet, get you're pac code, move to another networks payg, start a new contract and then port back in. It's a faff but it works and gets you the phone for free.

For those of you waiting for it, I just got the Xperia X10 through retentions this morning. 600 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet, push email, orange maps and 50 photo messages for £30 a month. It for 18 months and phone for free.

Yeah I know they arent the same accounts
But why are the phone prices different between upgrades online and new customers?!
When I'm still going to be on the same tarriff anyway?

I am due an early upgrade from today - just waiting for Orange to release the Desire.

Anyone else fed up waiting?

purplegirl*13, I was told that the X10 and Desire were both being released by Saturday. As it turned out the X10 was available as of 8pm last night so I'd ring retentions everyday just to check

Customer services told me 2 weeks for the Desire hope its sooner.. Then I hope Orange can match other deals I can get through other providers.

It could well be sooner. I rang Orange last night to see if the X10 was available yet, they told me that at had just been released in the last half hour, this was at 8.30 last night. The guy told me to call back about 10pm because it wasn't available through retentions but it may be by then.

I called back as recommended and the muppet I got through to insisted that it hadn't been released yet even though I'd been told it had and the Orange website had been updated to say it was available!

I couldn't be bothered to argue and called back this morning. It just proves the point that you get different info from different people.
