The S5600 is okay our son and our 3 year old haven't managed to kill it yet! looks and feels like a nice phone and samsung CS is quite good, well tons better than Orange.
How do you get an 18 month contract for £10 pm?
I cant find it on oranges web site.
If you do get the hero for £15 pm i want one too

Been offered:
200mins a month
3000 texts
80MB data
£10 a month
18mth contract
Nokia 6303 - but I need to pay £15 for the phone. Can't get them to waive this.
Still sounds like a good deal? I have until the end of today to take it.0 -
Hi all, just a quick question....
I am into my last 3 months of an 18 month contract. On the Orange website, I am eligable for an early upgrade, but the offers on there don't really tickle my fancy...
Is there any point in trying to phone up now and negotiate a better deal, or should I wait for the end of the contract?
Thanks in advance.0 -

12 months in to an 18 month contract they're letting me change my plan (best plan review or something).
N85
From £40 for 1200min, 600txt, 500mb int, unlim land lines
to £25 for 600 min, 400txt, 500mb int, unlim land lnes
Barely even dented the limits I had so much better.0 -

Thanks, but what I was really after was to get a new phone and have some kind of internet bundle.
I'm after the HTC Hero, and at the moment am on a £25 Racoon plan with £5 websave. I am regularly going up to £28 to £30 a month (mainly through internet usage).
Would it be possible to change now, and get a free phone (website says £99 for the Hero) or should I wait till last month of contract?
Thanks all.....0 -
I'm currently on Dolphin 30 600 minutes uld txts, and contract has just ended. Bit miffed than cant take another contract and retain number and Orange dont offer the handset i want directly at present. I've been told i'm a band 4 customer (whatever that means) so realistically what kind of tariff / price should i bet aiming for when going for a top end smartphone.
I'm looking for around same number of minutes and texts (maybe a few more minutes) and inclusive internet. Realistically i dont want to be paying any more than £30 a month with £35 being the top end. What kind of tariff should i be eligible for?0 -
Long time user of the site but first posting - feel a duty to share !
Joined Orange on 18 mnth (£15 ppm, free Nokia 6201, 100 mins & unltd txts) contract via Quidco with £150 cashback in July 08 so effective cost was £6.66 pm and got the same deal for my wife. We both set each other up as Magic Numbers and other family members are on Orange so the low number of inc. minutes didn't matter much - we never use all the inc. mins.
Contract finished in Jan so I rang up to ask about an offer to stay. I wasn't offered anything I fancied much immediately so asked for the PAC and looked around. After much contemplation I decided on an HTC Hero as I can see myself using the net on the go a lot. Called the number on the letter which came advising the PAC and after quoting an alternative package from T-Mobile (£126 for their version of Hero, 24 mnth £10 ppm plan which inc. 100 mins, 100 txts, unltd internet (subject to 3gb fair use on Android phones) and another Flexible Booster each mnth and £20 Quidco) which came to £14.42 pm got
£15 ppm - 24 mnth contract
HTC Hero - £2.50
100 mins
unltd texts
unltd internet
Not quite as cheap as the T-mobile deal but we use the Orange Wednesday pizza deal a lot, retain the Magic Numbers and can use the old phone on a PAYG basis for our son (if you ask you can get a free PAYG sim when you renew).
Hope this helps someone as other posts have helped me !0
