FREE HTC hero graphite on orange
    for new customers
Do Old customers get the same deal as new still?

    24 months
    • 400 anytime minutes
    • 300 texts
unlimited anytime calls to UK landlines

    select
    £25.00 instore

    £20.00 online

    save £120 over 24 months

free evening and weekend mobile internet for two months

Old customers will have no chance of getting this unless they spend lots and lots of money.

If you stick to your monthly allowance and never go over then you get offered rubbish retention deals as orange are simply not interested in keeping your custom!

I said this to you in an earlier post that of course i,m making the company money but not enough in Orange,s or your eyes.

They are simply greedy like any other big company i,m afraid. Sad but true!

If they were greedy wouldn't they rather keep a customer and make a profit no matter how small? Every penny counts after all

The point is, in any business, rightly or wrongly, the clients/customers who make the company the most money are treated the best that's just a fact. I'm not saying it's right but it makes sense logically doesn't it. As a business, your loyalty is worth nothing unless you're bringing in the funds, why would they want someone who'll stay with them for 2 years at £15 a month when they could have someone who'll spend £60 a month over a year? So the people who waste/spend/earn more for the company will get the best deals. Likewise, when trying to attract new customers, they have to give them standout offers. In general, a lot of people as long as they're happy with the service they're getting, will just renew there existing contract so it doesn't cause a problem. The problem seems to be that people think that as they've been with a company for a long time they basically deserve a top end phone and a contract for £5 a month, it's nuts and i just don't get it :o/. I'm not meaning to offend anyone but i just don't see the logic behind the argument "I've been with ...... many years so I should get a great deal".

    Good post my friend. :T

In my case i was with orange for over six years with no problems and always got a retention deal that i was happy with until last month.
At the time i was paying £20pm, the retention deals i was offered were £25pm with a bottom end phone. I did,nt want a top end phone and pay peanuts for it, i just wanted a fair deal but orange would,nt budge so i,m currently on my 30 days notice and off to vodafone.

HTC hero [...] and she would add on the unlimited internet for free (whoopie)
Do you even know about the HTC Hero? It eats data for breakfast - so without an internet add-on, you'd be getting very high bills.

Maybe worth controlling your sarcasm, and stop believing that everyone owes you the world on a stick?
  • i got this deal, but think i'm regretting not getting an htc hero for £10 a month more,....

    £10 a month for a

    free samsung s5600,
    400 minutes,
    800 texts,
    all landline calls free,
    unlimited internet

does anyone know how big the music players are on an s5600/htc hero? would they be able to do a similar job to an ipod?

    thanks :)
