The S5600 is aimed at the contract market and the next one up from the tocco lite.
What is so good about the HTC hero?
£10 pm and how long for and who with?
The HTC hero is an extra £99 for me to upgrade to and i am on racoon 25 and paying 20 notes pm
Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.

  • hi there,

I'm just wondering if Orange have the HTC HD2 yet?

Also, will the prices of the HD2 drop a fair bit once release of the new phones in March? Especially the Bravo?

I'm currently on a SIM only and have been with Orange for years. Want a new phone now so I'm thinking cancel now and wait the 30 days (the 30 days notice you have to give) and hope to get a good deal on a phone when HD2 isn't as expensive in 1 month time or so.

    thanks

Thats the phone I had hoped for but Im repeatedly told they dont have it and wont have it soon. Vodafone are offering to match my current deal with orange to jump to them and get that phone and I think I will.

Orange are offering me a £20 a month deal (I currently pay £30) for 400 mins - unlim txt - unlim web and a HTC hero. Thing is Id prefer a HTC HD2 or a Samsung Omnia2 (as i currently have an Omnia) but they are unable to offer that.

May try phones for you or someone like that as it may be the best in-between option.

Whatever happens I will post what happens here incase it helps anyone else.

It's not that they don't have it yet, they're not stocking it. At least that's what I was told in no uncertain terms when I enquired about it. I was told it's because they're getting the Bravo in March instead

    Hi,
New question... my contract expired last week.

    Last deal was:
    18month
    600mins
    Unlimited texts
    Unlimited data
    HTC Diamond free
    £25pcm

I never go over my minutes (though I do use a magic number to phone the missus so would use well over 500mins if they weren't magic)

I've since flogged the Diamond and bought an iPhone on Orange PAYG that I'm using with the contract SIM, so I'm not too fussed about a new contract or new phone.

Vodafone and O2 do the same SIM only deal on a 30 day rolling for £20pcm.

Is it feasible to phone up and ask them to knock a bit off my monthlies but still keep me on a rolling contract? Should I expect £20pcm, or should I be looking for a little loyalty bonus too?

    Thanks in advance

To be honest I dont think you'll get anything while staying on the rolling contract. All deals I've ever heard of are for sigining a new contract.

I'm fuming with Orange and their so called retention policy! I am coming to the end of an 18 month contract paying £30 a month. I would like to upgrade to an iphone and so rang them to see what they could offer me, not expecting a great deal, but knowing the good offers that the likes of O2 are offering their upgrading customers.

Well the woman offered me a 16GB 3GS phone for £89 on a 24 month £35 a month contract! I thought this was a bit naff, so asked her to give me a quote for a HTC hero which she said she would give me for £15 one off charge and then £30 a month for 4oo mins and 600 (?) texts, and she would add on the unlimited internet for free (whoopie)

I then rang O2 who said they would match Oranges offer and give me the same package on the iphoe for the same price. But then I looked on the Phones 4 u website and realised that I could get the iphone through them onn the same contract for £87!! I know it's only £2 but it infuriates me that Orange can treat a loyal customer worse than a high street store can. I'm considering cancelling my contract in protest!

First they came for the crack users; but I said nothing. I was not a crack user. Then they came for the heroin users. But I said nothing - I was not a heroin user. Then they came for me. There was no one left to speak for me. (after Pastor Niemoller)
