I just upgraded and got the same deal as I got last time I upgraded.... which I specifically asked for.

    600 mins
    Unlimited Text
    Unlimited Internet
    Samsung Tocco Ultra (free)
    18 month contract
    £20 pm

Took less than 5 mins to sort out, which makes me think that I could have pushed for more, but I'm happy paying that, and don't want a contract which is too low, so that I dont accrue enough loyalty points the next time I come to upgrade. Keeping my fingers crossed that in 18 months, that iPhone will be priced reasonably, as I really do want one, but right now I can't justify £47 (£35 tarriff + £12 insurance) per month, when I pay £25 total a month now... double the price just for an iPhone. And then when you think it's at least £200 for the phone itself - Madness

If this was directed to me, then I called 150, and then selected "if your thinking of leaving orange" rather than wanting to upgrade.

Me too and I got a great offer (posted above).
  • just accepted a contract,...

    £10 a month for a

    free samsung s5600,
    400 minutes,
    800 texts,
    all landline calls free,
    unlimited internet

went straight through to the "if you are thinking of leaving orange" and said i was definitely leaving etcetera. got a good offer for £20 a month for an htc hero, but this £10 a month with the free phone, and free internet, is really really cheap, and probably works out better :)

thanks to everyone for their posts and advice, it helped :)

The issue I found no matter how hard I tried was my last contact was a £35.00 a month one down to £30.00 as on the net and they gave me £10.00 off.

There was no desire in them to offer me ANY discount at all, so it looks to me as if once you have one good deal, unless they can recoup that then there are more than happy for you to walk away.
