You can't stack discounts with F&F, its one or the other.
You'd need to get your friends F&F code, get them to give you the number of F&F or the web address for the offer and you can start a new contract or upgrade if you;re in your last 3 months (but the remaining time gets added to your new contract).
so i'd be wise to use my friends discount?. she said just pop in on sat if nessecary and she'd do it there!..
im in my last 3 months now so can upgrade from wed, i just need to consider which phone to get if i can get the contract with 20% off that means a monthly charge of £28 for the iphone 3gs or relevant phone.0 -
Hi All
Two things.
Firstly, and I'm not sure if anyone could comment, but when attempting to strike a deal today with Orange retentions which I didn't conclude, I mentioned that I was thinking about an iPhone as an alternative but appreciated that they didn't do loyalty deals on those. I was told by the advisor, quote "Because vodafone are doing competitive deals now we've been told that we may be offering a loyalty deal on iPhones from 1st Feb, or soon after - so suggest you phone back then."
Any comment from LUFCgirl or anyone else heard this? It does kind of make sense that this happens to a limited degree at some point - it makes no sense to lose good customers.
In the meantime I was offered:
Blackberry Bold 9700 Free
400 mins
300 texts
500mb Data
Unlimited Blackberry add-on (isn't this unliimited data as well?)
£25 a month - 18 month contract.
I have no idea if that's good or not or how loyal that implies I am! I know that the phone is one of the dearer ones. Be good if anyone can comment.
Cheers!
1st Feb with iPhone - Unlimited texts bolt on £5 instead of £7.50 and unlimited landline calls bolt on £7.50. Only available until end of March. Thats the only deals, sorry the person got your hopes up on it!0 -
schools discount.. hmmm do they do police discount too :-))))0

Apparently they do! I saw some police officer on a three year contract but it was only £1.50 p/m line rental. Part of business though so I don't know what it includes.
Other than that, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that police officers get a 10% discount as I was looking for one for my best friend too.0 -
ewhhh sounds good.. going to give that a try :-))))0

I know it's not your fault in any way Lufcgirl and I'm not in any way directing this comment at you but I'm pretty unimpressed with that so called 'deal' - a measly £2.50 off per month.
Still works out cheaper with voda either way - whether I take the £35 per month or £30 per month or £40 per month. I would get the same minutes on the £40 per month with voda and unlimited texts are included.. phone is £149..
Orange are offering the 600 mins + text bundle for £40 - phone is £189..
Not that competitive deal's really..
I suppose it work's out for some people, unfortunately, like me, who use the magic number system...
Oh dear :mad:0 -

Following on from my post yesterday, having read another MSE forum I may have slightly oversold my offer from Orange when I called it "stonking", but I'm still very happy. I was previously on £30pm contract; the new offer I secured was for 200 mins (I've never used more than 150), unlimited texts, unlimited mobile internet with a free HTC Hero for £15pm over 18 mths. I know the new HTC Bravo is due out in March, but the Hero still seems a really good piece of kit.
So that's £270 vs. the £729/£848 I would have had to pay had I gone iPhone - a financial no-brainer for me. If I bank my £15pm saving and sell the handset at upgrade time, I could be then be off to Tesco for an iPhone(4?)
I posted the above on the cheapest iPhone discussion, but thought I would add to it here. Stupidly, I didn't think to look up and read the Orange Retentions thread before I agreed to the deal I took, and I see someone got the same for £10pm. However, I've got the free broadband which Orange offered a few years back, and I started worrying over the weekend about whether I would still get this as my tariff was dropping from £30 to £15 pm. So I rang retentions again today, and a nice man (I got his full name) confirmed I'll still be entitled to their broadband for free. As I don't want to find myself suddenly being charged for it, should I have any reason to doubt what he said?
BTW, I asked in passing if they were offering iphone deals as from today and his reply was "we've heard nothing yet..keep your ear to the ground" which was all very cryptic.:cool:0
