Anyone got any ideas on getting an iPhone from orange?
C/Services tell me they will not budge, nor negotiate on Iphone 3GS.
I currently pay £40 per month anyway, so not like I don't pay them much
Any help appreciated
If you look further up this thread the iPhones covered. There are no deals for anyone.
The price on the website is the price you pay...0 -
Hi,
I'am currently payinging £20 a month for 200 minutes and unlimited text.
My contract is due to run out soon and i am interested in a blackberry.
I phoned orange last night and the deal they offered me was
A blackberry 8900
400 Minutes
unlimited texts
unlimited internet/email
at a cost of £20 amonth for 24 months0 -
Wow I am so happy, the lady in retentions was throwing stuff at me today!!!
I asked for 15 p/m with 200 mins and 300 texts but she gave me 15 p/m 400 mins and 300 texts with 6 free landline numbers. She offered me a BB Curve (but that was 20 p/m) or an E71 (thought that was ugly) so went for a Nokia 5800 - I'm only going to sell it so I'm not bothered by what I get!!
Thanks for your help - I would have just gone to the shop as usual and got conned into a 30 p/m package!!!0 -
Hi folks ..
Sorry if this seems like a daft question, I'm a little confused! I'm on an 18 month contract with Orange that finishes on the 30/04/2010 - but on my account page on the orange website it says that my next upgrade date is tomorrow.
At the moment I'm on a dolphin plan, I'm not sure whichbut my monthly bill is always around £40. I have 400 mins talk and 400 texts but I probably only use half that.
So, if I upgrade now, on the website is that just literally a new phone? as I really need to be paying less a month aswell. Is it too soon to ring Orange a ask for a better deal all round?
thank you!0 -
Bellrooster after my experience today I would def ring up retentions and ask for what you want!!! I have always gone into the Orange shop before and I have obviously been conned (bit strong but you know what I mean)!!!!
I am sure someone will offer better advice but I would ask for 400 mins, 300 texts, landlines and say you want a decent phone (not sure what people would recommend or if there's one you want in particular - I'm selling mine!!) - say you don't want to pay more than £15 per month!!!
My contract ran out in April too - so ring up, good luck and report back with what you get!! The website offers are rubbish in comparison to what you can get over the phone!0 -
Wow thanks Lisa, I'm going to give them a call today! Firstly though I'm going to try and swat up on the latest mobile phones to see which one would suit me best!
There doesn't seem to be that many to choose from on the Orange website, there's only 24!0 -
You will always get a better offer if your minimum term is up.
If you upgrade now the remaining months will be added to the end of the new contract, so an 18 monther will run 21 months...0 -
i've been offered these initially (out of contract, and happy-ish with my old handset an orange tokyo)
800 mins
unltd texts
1gb of data
£20 a month , no handset or £25 a month with a b2100 , think its a 24 month contract (happy with that).
should i push for a bit more?
thanks :money::beer:0 -
Hey guys, first time poster here.
My Orange Dolphin 25 contract is up in April so I'm eligible for an upgrade, and have my heart set on getting the rather lovely looking HTC Hero handset. I looked on the Orange website without logging onto the My Account section, and saw I could get this for free simply by choosing the the Dolphin 35 24 month tariff (actually £30 a month with online discount and, although more expensive and longer than I really want to commit for, would've given more than enough extra minutes as well as free anytime internet, which I imagine is pretty important for a smartphone like the Hero).
HOWEVER when I logged on to the My Account bit of the website it appears as though I have to pay £69.99 for the Hero handset to get it as an upgrade, even when I upgrade my plan to the Dolphin 35! Seems to me as though Orange are trying to lure in newbies with the promise of a free handset at the expense of shafting existing customers who want the same product.
So I'm pretty sure I'm going to give them a ring to attempt to sort this out, but I thought I'd pop on here to ask for a few tips first. Any ideas? Do you reckon I'll actually be able to get the handset for free if I ask? Any other ideas as to how I could get the best deal for myself? To give you an idea of my call/text usage I've gone over my allowance on the Dolphin 25 a few times but have managed to mostly stay within my limits. And when I call them should I go for the option for those who 'want to upgrade' or for those who are 'thinking of leaving Orange'?0
