Orange Retention Offers

To be honest with you I couldnt really care less what the intricate details to the "loyalty " is based on, your talking to me like I have an interest in the business, I just want a reasonable offer that I as a cutomer would class as fair...
:-) so to reiterate on the sneaky behaviour.. its not nice when your a loyal customer to be treated that way.
I do appreciate your explaination and thoughts, I wouldnt consider £30 a month contract not cheap and it was only two weeks ago I got mine lol0 -
Ok, so just humour me for a second. What do you consider to be a good deal? Not something at a fair price, how minutes, texts and internet and you tell me what price is reasonble to pay for it considering she's an existing customer?0
-
I am happy with their offer of 800m 800 texts unlimited landline unlimited internet but £27.50 is too much for her to spend when you add on insurance and the contract is too long.
She would be more than willing to compromise, ie she has no need for 800 min, 600 would suffice and 400 texts would be more than enough. In return what is important is to get the contract down to at least £25 a month and 18 months in length... does that seem too much to ask??0 -
What annoys me are the justifications which are clearly fabricated, something I have noticed you have not commented on ie "as your sister doesnt go over". She does go over so what are they talking about!!!
And what makes me laugh is they chuck all these extras at you, which she doesnt need, just so they can justify the higher price!! But she doesnt want it she just wants a cheaper contract. Perhaps Orange need to realsie that they need to speculate to accumulate lol.
All thats going to end up happing is they will lose a customer0 -
If she's going to be using magic numbers now, you should try asking for the tariff I posted earlier tonight (if she can cut back her minutes to 400). That would mean 400mins, unlimited texts and internet for £20 and then the insurance on top.
If you really really don't want a 24mth contract try asking for the Panther 30 websave, I think its only 400mins, 300 texts and unlimited internet at £25 p/m, and they may be able to add more minutes/texts and discount the plan slightly.0 -

Which is the plan I am on, but they have said they wont do it0 -

They have a system that tells them average usage for the past three months. Like I said I can't see what it says but maybe on average she used less minutes and it averaged out under 600? Besides that they shouldn't make a comment without looking through your bills first just to determine what the right plan would be.

They throw the extras at you because they can't drop the price anymore and so try and make the deal sound more enticing by doing so. Advisors tend to try their best to retain custom (apart from a few, some of which I've encountered myself in retentions) but sometimes a customers expectations and what Orange can actually do don't match up.

I'm not meaning to be disrespectful in the slightest, however people can only do what the system offers. And personally I'd be the same as yourself, if I couldn't get the deal I wanted I'd leave. Other than cashback deals, you'll be hardpressed to find a deal with a 9700 on any other network for free cheaper than £35 per month excluding insurance0 -
I had the troubles of dealing with Orange retentions for my parents. If you're a low user on a low band, expect worse offers than that what new customers get..
When asked why I could sign back up and get a better offer? "We are a business y'know, it's obvious we offer better deals to new customers as they will potentially spend more than you. "
Loyalty? No! You don't spend over your tariff to have any loyalty. Lol. They're pretty much a joke!0 -
They are a business, people need to remember that, they operate like any other business does0
