So when a new product lauches that, lets face it, has taken the world by storm, you can't see why there may be delays getting through?
And, before Christmas we had around 5 minutes between calls, since 28th December it's been constant. How is our delays subject to the iPhone in that case?0 -
4th time renewing my contract with orange, currently paying £20 month. They are offering me exactly the same minutes
600mins
100texts
Unlimited internet
but now £27 month!! How does that make sense!!
That was for Nokia 5800 or Blackberry curve! Surely they can do better! I'm boringly loyal, but I'm not paying more for the same!I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0 -
Gutted.
Seems the phones i really like arent available with orange after all (should have checked from the start really).
Currently im on I900 Omnia, 500 mins, unlim txt, unlim web coming to the end of my 18 month contract. Im paying £25pm when used to pay £35 so not sure what I can get.
I hoped for the HTC HD2, or next best the Omnia2 i8000. Neither are available.
Im happy with my rental and package per month but dont know if I should go sim only if im keeping my existing handset.
Will call retentions again incase theres anything on the horizon in the next 8 weeks.
fingers crossed.Do we see what we believe, or believe what we see?0 -

Firstly yes the iphone has clearly taken the world by storm and therefore it was never a secret it would be a success, so with this in mind you can't see why Orange should of maybe invested in more staff?
5 minutes? That's honestly not been the case when I've been calling Orange business support, although not doubting you as don't know what dept. you work for.0 -
I work in Upgrades, and my call queue was exactly as I stated. I'd have said we'd have been the busiest department once the iPhone launched.
Unfortunately technical support for the iPhone set a precedent, I don't think that anyone anticipated how much help people would actually need with the thing! But then again, billing, sales, upgrades and retentions (the departments I call most) are constantly busy this month. Last month it wasn't.
The problem with business support is that they deal with everything a business customer does. So they are trained on every aspect. For some reason they got rid of some business staff before Christmas so that might be your answer. But I think your totally wrong about the iPhone making every other call queue huge, otherwise that would've happened way before new year.0 -
lufcgirl....
Just a question,
The retentions department gave me a 80mb internet bundle, is there any restriction on how this can be used. For example, can it be used at all time or is it off peak usages?
Cheers0 -
It can be used at anytime0

I'm sorry to hear that people were got rid of and sincerely hope they were at least redeployed within the organisation.
For the record I'm only refering to business support and trust me it's taking forever to get through and like I said before the automated message refers & cites the iphone as a reason for delay....
Quick question I've still just over a month to run on my contract, do you think if I let it run down then I might get the Blackberry Bold for free apposed to £150 AND THEN £69.99. Thanks!0 -
I'm sorry I really don't have a clue with how business retentions works. From phones and deals you've been offered previously I can usually work out if the phone would be free for a consumer tariff. Bold is one of the expensive ones though!0
