Unbelievable deal, how much did you go over your contract price? must have been a considerable amount. The contract doesn't even cover the cost of the phone over 18mths.

Not much, but I have 3 contracts with them on about the same deal. Was renewing 2 to the Blackberrys. I was told the Unit cost of the blackberry Bold 2 9700 was £110 for Orange. So they do make money on this deal.
  • Hey guys, here my offer, what do you think?

I was on (averaged) £17.50/month for 600 mins, unlimited texts and internet (which i didn't use) for 18 months with a Nokia 6300 which runs out tomorrow

The best offer I've got for a HTC Hero is

£50 for the handset (the dude had to speak to his manager to get it down from £100)
    £25/month for
    800 mins,
    1300 texts,
    500mb internet

    Opinions?
  • My 18 month £35 contract has just expired and I'm trying to get the best deal possible from Orange.

I found a fantastic deal with Vodafone:
Sim only, 12 months, £15/month, 600 mins + ultd texts, which then works out at £9.50/month with £70 cashback through Quidco.

I spoke to Orange mentioning this deal, and they offered £10/month on an 18 month contract, 600 mins, utld landline and 300 txts, plus a choice of one of these phones:

    Nokia 2730
    Nokia 6303
    Samsung 5600
    Sony Ericson w595
    Samsung b2100
    LG pop gd510
    LG gt505

I then worked out that if I sold the phone they sent, getting about £65+ for it (underestimate) the deal would work out at £6.39/month. Insane!

Think I can do any better? And which phone do you think would be the best to pick for reselling? After researching I thought it would probably be the gt505.

    Thanks for any advice!

  • Hi i have just signed up for dolphin 30 on orange contract sim monthly
the deal is 1200 min to ANY network or Landline.
i'm not sure about text messages as i dont really text.

It costs £30 a month if you pick paper billing rather than online it's a extra £3.

does this song like a good deal?
i was on tmobile sim but they were a con they started adding extras to my account and i got charged when it went to voicemail when i was phoning people and that all adds up, my mother who is on this deal says orange do not charge when it goes to voice mail.

The only thing i dont really like is the website they send you a sim but it has a block on it and trying to set it up online was a nightmare
i had to type in loads of codes, with tmobile it was a lot more simple.

Is this a good deal ? My wife has been offered a Nokia 6700,450 min 200 texts and 80 meg of data for £15,00 pm. How good is the 6700 ?

Surely though, if you take the average monthly cost of the cheapest 8gb 3g into account, Tesco cost you £3 more per month, and you've got to pay more than double up front. Not much good if you're a skint student?

No, anyone with any sense works out the total cost of the contract which is £177 less plus clubcard points. To get a sim-only of that level of minutes/texts would be approx £15p/m which makes it an £87 pounds plus clubcard points saving across 18 months - I'd say £87 is a significant difference. Enough to make me change contract provider anyway.

Have just spoken to a VERY nice person at CS. They have just added another 250MB of data free of charge to my wife's account. So the deal is now
    Free Nokia 6700
    450 min
    200 texts
    330MB data

    £15.00 pm

Think its a good deal for what she uses.

HD2 no word on if it's coming out. Only one we have for definite is the Bravo coming in March. Other that that the Nokia X6, Sony X10 and Sony Kuara are coming out in the first quarter of 2010.

Retentions is 150, option 1, option 4, option 2. If you call and tell them your looking for a Hero, they'll do the best deal possible as cheap as they can. Be warned though, we've been swamped all weekend so some customers were saying it was about 20mins to get through!
