    It's called customer churn.

Yep, and far cheaper to keep a customer than to gain one.

My better halfs iPhone is on O2 and the contract is just about up. Cheapest solution for us is for her to upgrade and me to have her old phone on a £10 a month sim only rolling one month contract.

    All the best

The price is the just about the same no matter which network you go to.

It's Apple that set the price and no networks going to rock the boat and get no more stock. . .
  • Hi

I know, but see no other reason to stay with Orange at the moment. And from reading round it does seem a few people have got deals.

Cheapest for me would be to pay the up front cost of a Tesco unit.

    All the best

    Fair point.

But if you are thinking of moving make sure you get a free payg sim for that network and see what the signals like where you live/work.
  • Hi

My better half is on O2 and gets a good signal at home. I get no useful signal at work on Orange anyway (well, I can just about get a signal in the room with the kettle, leaning over the sink with my phone as close to the window as possible :rotfl:).

Just ordered the PAC code. Will unlock my cheapo handset and use that on O2 until my better half upgrades. Her iPhone is only 6 months old as her first one was replaced on insurance having been run over by a bike. It still worked somehow but the casing was all broken. Far tougher than we thought they were.

    All the best

I'm on Racoon 30 websave, paying 28£, just out of 12 months contract. Last December I got this with new HTC Touch HD which did cost me just 7.50£ to upgrade. Was well chuffed. This year no happiness though:
    retentions offered either
Hero for 79.99£ (well "normal" upgrade price is 149.99£ for me, but just 99£ for new customers taking new 12 months contact) on the same tariff with no extras or
Nokia 2330 for 18£ (that's 10£ loyalty discount) with unlimited internet.
I have Orange Unlimited broadband which I pay 5£ and I can't lose it. I have seen several offers with cashback or PS3 which could work out for 10£ or less on 12 months contract but retentions wouldn't bulge on that. Any suggestions as don't really want to lose my number...

I was offered this last week - the Nokia 2330 for £15 per month on an 18 month contract, racoon 25 websave I think its called. That was for 400 mins, unlimited landlines, 1300 txts, unlimited internet and could keep my broadband at £5 per month.

I've just noticed I can get the Nokia 5800 free with O2 for the same plan as I have with orange (£15 100 mins U/L text).

Is there any chance of getting the 5800 upgrade with Orange?

Have been out of contract with Orange for a good while.
Phoned today, got a free Sony W995, unlimited landlines, unlimited internet (500mb) which will be plenty, 400 mins 300 texts for 20 notes. I also have free home broadband in that £20.
Which incidentally has been free for about 4 years now.

I had a HTC hero sent a few weeks back but didnt like it.
That was same deal for £24.47.
Was offered iphone for £35 pm withount many perks.

Im well chuffed with this deal i have to say.
I was paying around £34 a month, so im saving roughly £250 for the duration.
Then factor in what BT would want for Broadband that apparently doesnt play with the W995 and thats another decent wedge.
I've been with Orange since 1997, cant fault em.
Just wish id done this earlier.
