You'll always get a better offer when you're out of contract. Try again in Jan...0

Didn't seem to be any suggestion that I'd get a better deal then - they were fine giving me my PAC.0

Just because they gave you a PAC code doesn't rely mean anything, they quite likely give out lots that are never used.
The thing you rely have to do it ring up multiple times. My offers got better the closer I got to the end of my contract. On a £25 18 month contract, firstly I was offered the Hero for 146 then 46 and 15 on successive calls.
Just keep trying0 -
OK that was weird, just got off the phone after calling 150. I wanted a n97 mini but they dont supply them anymore as to quote them "their competition for the iphone"?.
I can only get a nokia 6700 for £17 plus my tariff increases to £17.50/mth but only if I take Orange broadband as well at another £14.50/mth.
I had to almost hang up to stop the guy doing the forms there and then. Very hard sell and nothing like the last time I upgraded.
Is that the norm now?.0 -
Im worried now. Ive just been having a read of someones thread on the internet forum page where his new equipment just appeared on the door step after he had made no firm comittment to proceed.
Edit* cant post the link as im a new user but its thread 2135807
It looks like some idle chat about what provider I was with and not being tied to a contract anymore  has got the sharks circling.
Im assumming they cant change me to orange broadband without me requesting my mac. I was very specific in saying I was not accepting their offer and was going to think about it first.0 -
just saw on another thread that they managed to get orange to apply 20 line rental discount to thier new tariff (existing customer)on the iphone........
can you orange worker who replies on this confirm there is now a loalty discount with orange on the iphone?(more likely now given tescos prices) if theres not I'll be away to tesco in at the start of January when contract is up.........0 -

What kind of contract did you end up getting? I'm just thinking that I may as well just go with T-Mobile, who will give me the Hero for free, unlimited internet and more minutes and texts than I need for less than Orange will offer me for my loyalty. T-Mobile will be phoning me again on Monday so I have til then to decide.0 -
Well I got the Hero for £15, free 80mb of data and unlimited landlines, 400 mins and 550 texts for £25. On reflection i decided to go for the 500mb of data at an extra £5. That’s for 18months, its not amazing but I still have free Orange broadband from like 4 years ago so that sweetens the deal. Also almost forgot, I have most of the people I call lots on magic numbers. So thats an added benefit and also how often do you use Orange Wednesdays?
Regarding T-mobile, check out their 3G coverage in your area, there are plenty of maps comparing all the providers if you search Google and also bear in mind T-mobile and Orange are joining in the new year, not entirely sure when, but i expect they will rationalise their networks. So even if T-mobile 3G is rubbish in your area now, but Orange is good, when they merge your signal should improve.0 -
Coverage seems to be pretty good on T-Mobile in Edinburgh so hopefully won't be a problem. Not much of a caller so never set up magic numbers and have a Cineworld Unlimited pass so no longer use Orange Wednesdays. On the other hand T-Mobile adverts are just dreadful. Decisions decisions. :-p0
