Orange Retention Offers

Did an orange store decide to tell you that? A top rated (as in band 5 I take it) the only thing they get is the ability to upgrade early at a fee unlike any other. Not that you should be being told what banding is because it has no significance to you. Like I said earlier all it would do is make you feel valued or not.
Disregard the apparent valuing you think you have at the moment. The price plan your talking about basically means your getting a standard web tariff with the 500mb internet (is that the one?) for £30 per month as opposed to £35. Which is a saving of £90 plus a handset worth about £350. So thats an investment of around £440 and your contract in total over 18 months would be £540. So £100 for 600mins, unlimited texts and free internet every month for 18 months to me seems like a really good deal!0 -
hiya lufcgirl
im looking to upgrade my phone with orange am happy to stay with orange
but currently on a dolphin25 but paying min 10.00 a month with 200 cross plan mins and it looks like unlimited texts to me now too
i pay about 12.00 to 20.00 some months
i was thinking of the samsung tocco but might go to 15.00 a month around 200 free mins is fine and unlimited text would be nice
any ideas is it better to upgrade on the site or call 150 and go to retentions
have always done via retentions:cool:

Truecall device, stops all the unneccesary phone calls - my sanity has been restored and the peace in the house is truely priceless!:rotfl:0 -
Thanks LUFCgirl, much appreciated.
I suppose my real question is, will I get a much better deal by waiting until the end of my contract??? (47 days to go!)0 -

Hiya, at a guess it looks like your price plan has been reduced from your last contract. If it's the Samsung Tocco Ultra (the only Tocco we do now) that your after, it's a really expensive one on upgrade but cheap on a new connection. It baffles me!
Anyway, my advice would definitely be to call. See what they can do initally with the phone and price your looking for. Giving someone a call is always better than online.0 -

Sometimes you do, unfortunately theres no way to predict what you would get at the end. Thing is, if you wanted to cancel anyway it'd be 30 days notice and if your not happy with the deals offered so far, give them a call then. With the idea of disconnecting in mind, ask them what the best deal possible is.
Also when new handsets come out, the older ones get reduced, so that could happen after Christmas too.0 -
oh many thanks for your speedy reply, ive always rang initially to enquire and done but im looking at my account online now and will take your advice
is it still 150 to go through the options to retentions?

Yeah it's just 150 and then the options to upgrade your phone. Don't be surprised if your price plan gets a bit more expensive on the upgrade offer. I'm interested to know what you do get offered so please post back once you've spoke to them0

Just to update, just spoken to retentions (as opposed to upgrades!)
Got a HTC hero (£15), 400 mins, 550 texts, unlimited landline, free unlimited internet, free mobile broadband dongle (worth £6 per month)... £19.57 / month (18months contract)
Was also offered, free phone, 800 mins, unlimited texts/landline/internet, mobile internet dongle + car charger and 16GB memory card for £24.47 / month. (but went for the above instead as I thought I don't need all those minutes and texts and can buy the charger and memory card with the difference)
Very happy!0 -

hiya lufcgirl, just as you said, its gone up to 15.00 but keeping 200 mins and unlimited texts and a lot more of an expensive phone for the 18 months contract
i dont use more than 100 mins and use more of my texts and sometimes texts abroad to family so i am now aware of those extras, but i hope to not pay more than 20.00 a month
how much is the tocco ultra edition in black pls?
so think ive done a good deal on the phone and tarriff
cheers for your help mazSealed Pot Challenge member 1525
