One thing to remember is that even if you go to a lower price plan, it doesn't affect the ability to get the phone you want as it's pre-decided your spend. I'm pleased you got a good deal though!

well thanks so on my deal of 18 months at 15.00 breaking even and got a fab phone too

Hi, just rang CPW about upgrade, wanted W995 and best they could do was 35 a month for 18mths, said thanks but no thanks.
Rang 150, got W995 free, 400 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited net, free insurance all for 20 a month for 18 months.
Well pleased and get to play with it tomorrow.

I addition I have internet added on for £5 a month. So I pay £35/month. I have got about 6 weeks remaining in my contract and am really interested in HTC Hero.
What deals am I going to get?
I currently use about 200 min and 50 texts/month. And I do need the internet.
It is worth phoning them now or waiting till I reach more near the end of my contract.

I upgraded with orange retentions 18 mths ago and got a nokia n82 on racoon 25 but half price for 12 mths.

I am now looking to see if I can upgrade again as im out of contract this week but have a concern. Thing is the tariff didnt increase after 12 mtns so they have never charged me full price for my contract. I dont want to de-fraud anyone but I also dont want to pay for their error (if it was one).

Anyone had anything similar. Also I never go over my mims/texts so I presume my low spend will hinder me. I was hoping to get a samsung jet this time.

I was in a similar position, 7 weeks of contract left - rang upgrades and they didn't offer me anything - so rang retentions, threatening to leave, and I got HTC Hero for £15, 400mins, 550 texts, unlimited landline, free internet, free mobile broadband dongle all for £19.47 per month for 18months. They were offering slightly different deals with free car charger and memory cards etc. You should be able to get a good deal.
