Orange Retention Offers

We don't match other networks, although we will try and get as close as we possibly can to the deal being offered. We do have limits and most advisors will bend over backwards to make a deal suitable for you.
It's worth asking, but I don't even have a clue if this £10 a month bundle exists, it's some sort of myth to me at the moment! I'm back at work tomorrow so I'll have a look then and report back...0 -
Thanks that would be helpful for you and might finally tip the balance either way with regards to what I get.
I agree bar the first person I spoke to about my contract the advisors have been pretty helpful, I was speaking to a guy called Kane (i believe) last night and he was very helpful, although he did promise to email me a summary, which he didnt do but I will let him off.0 -
From what I gather we can't email them any contract details, because very few advisors have access to e-mail. We could text you it. Or the method I find best is once you've agreed the deal, call back half an hour later and ask the advisor to confirm whats been done.0

To be fair I think it was more to do with a comparison of the handsets that I had in mind as opposed to the deals themselves. He definitely said he was going to email it though as he took my address.0

Sorry, that was just my opinion - should have made that clearer.
Its all relative though, what is important to one person might not be so important to another.
A couple of things I would point out to back up my opinion though is:
- 5 megapixel on Hero versus 3 megapixel
- 7 home screens on the Hero with widgets so you can have key apps always open and updating
- multi-tasking on the Hero versus no multi-tasking (of apps) on the iPhone.
- Android apps are open source whereas iPhone apps have to be approved by Apple
I could list lots more, although to be fair to the iPhone I could list a few areas where that is better than the Hero. Its a close thing but with it being so close the only thing to win it is price IMHO and Hero kicks iPhone !!! on that one0 -
By the sounds of it the HTC Dragon will be even better and a real challenger to the Iphone.0

Are you talking writing off a couple of days here or 12 months?!?!
Either way I think the answer will be NO. They just are not allowed to discount iPhone deals.
I would argue that it's not so much a discount to iPhone deal but a waiver in order get that deal, but of course I can see your argument. Just thought I'd ask the question, as that would keep me with Orange over O2.Started comping for 2012. Won: iPad 2 - thanks SueMaggie; 10,000 Tesco Clubcard Points - thanks Maybe1; HABA Terra Kids Construction Set - thanks purplevamp.:beer:0 -
As far as I know, the 500mb of data doesn't work on the iPhone, it needs a particular product added to the account (this is what I've been told and had a god awful argument with a customer a few days back about it!). It's £10 per month for unlimited data on the iPhone. And yes, providing it's an Orange iPhone or sim free, a contract sim will work in it.
Assuming I have followed the previous threads correctly..
Just wanted to confirm you can use the 500mb for the iPhone. The iPhone utilises a standard IP data connection via the Orange APN.
I'm currently using my iPhone on my old Orange contract. It is a standard Select 500 plan with 250mb internet browsing. All my data charges are covered.
I think whoever told you that you need a specific bolt on.. was getting confused with the Blackberry internet service (BIS).
As long as you only stream music and video via a wireless network like at home.. you'll be hard pushed to use 500mb..0 -
Hi. I've been with Orange for over 10 years. I haven't had an upgrade for two years but now, my SPV M3100 (HTC) is sick and needs replacing. Ideally, I would have liked an iphone but no deals are to be had on that..... So, here's what they are offering me;
Any handset I want APART from Iphone
18Months @ £40/mnth
900 x net mins
500 txts
U/L landlines
500mb data
12months @ £40 / mnth
600 x net mins
500txts
200 mins landlines
Considering I haven't had an upgrade for two years I was slightly disappointed with the 12 month offer. Guy suggestefd I might want to talk with the 'Loyalty Team'.
Any advice as to what I may be able to negotiate with Orange?
Any help appreciated.
After nearly 10 years as an Orange customer I'll be phoning in the next 24hrs to get my PAC code. A little sad to leave to be honest as the customer service and network has been good...
My contract ended 5 months ago.. I held out in the hope that my loyalty and high spend would give me a least a little benefit when upgrading my unofficial 3G iPhone to an official 3GS.. Alas no..
Aa s result O2's..
12 month simplicity plan @ £19.58 (£11.25 after £100 Quidco cashback)
800mins/1600txts and unlimited data
is to good to pass up.
You might want to mention it to the retention team as I will be doing.. but I know they'll get nowhere near it
So long Orange ... We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when... :whistle:0
