I'm sorry what you see for the iPhone is what you get. They can't even discount a text bundle at the moment. It's basically because everyone knows people will pay a premium after o2 and what they did with their price plans.

Personally I hate the Hero, but thats probably because I have an iPhone ;)

We don't sell very many of them either now, it's kinda classed as an old phone!

No need to apologise. You've been a great help. Am i right in thinking that now you need to have the phone delivered to your billing address?

Yep, we got advised this last week. The courier delivers it next day as long as it's ordered before 5pm. They usually text you a couple of hours before to let you know they're on their way and give an option to reply like 'Reply 1 if you want it delivering tomorrow' or you can rearrange the courier to deliver to another address.

Ah cool. I now live and work in London but my billing address is still in Bath so i would have to ask them to change it

Yeah we do 500mb for 4.89 a month, which is good value.

As an estimate for you, I have an iPhone with o2 and in 6 weeks have used 189mb of data, and thats constantly using the internet for facebook and streaming Sky Sports...so it's a pretty good allowance.

A lot of people forget we offer magic numbers, Orange Wednesdays and Pizza Express...so it's definitely a good selling point. Even if you used Orange Wednesdays once a month, thats still £60-odd your saving!

Is that true? I used 20-30mb in 2 mins of streaming before. You cant be talking about streaming video? I am assuming you mean the news etC NOT Video. just to clear up.
  • Hi

Just tried to arrange an upgrade, and was told that Orange have pulled the Sony Ericsson Satio due to major technical problems with the phones. Anyone know any more about this? Will it be long before they can offer them again?

    Cheers
  • Just got myself an iphone. I must admit, that everytime i've dealt with Orange, they have had some fantastic people on the phone.

I used to work for Virgin Mobile years ago when i lived in Trowbridge and in the early years, despite the crapness of the product, the staff were key in Virgin winning many customer service awards. You can see similarities now with some of the Orange staff.

We're always very quick to complain, but never quick enought to compliment.

I'm just distracted watching Ireland hopefully beat the French!

What a shame it didnt happen, I do hope your giving out rubbish upgrade offers to anyone who happens to be French or in particular called Thierry!

As Orange are owned by French Telecom, not going to happen. In fact he more than likely gets his for free

In answer to the question about data usage, I use my wi-fi to stream Sky Sports, or did for the whole match last night and my usage is still 189mb overall. Other than that I also use 3g to watch Friends every night for an hour and thats definitely included!

I'm not at work till Saturday, but I am still seething over the goal that never was...I wish I could be mean to the French, but instead I'll just hope England get them and win 5-0!

PS - I knew the Satio was out of stock, but I've never heard of it being pulled yet or any software issues.
