  • Yes, it's amazon how little you do actually use with a Mobile - You would think it would be a lot more. So 500MB is sufficient for most people I would think.

I have a PAYG Orange Sim which I use currently for Orange Wednesdays.

I have an iPhone on O2 currently, just waiting for the 'UNLOCK' to come through (Officially).

You're O2? Intertesting, I would have thought staff would get excellent deals? :-)
If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)

Well I worked for Apple before Orange on the iPhone tech support team so I got one when I initially started there back in August last year so still using that.

Plus my OH lives in Ireland so I need a vodafone phone to to put a Vodafone Ireland sim card in for texting and calling, I'm a bit of a mess with my phones! However I do recommend orange to people at the moment, our iPhone deals are reasonable and we do do a tariff that gives higher allowances than o2 do for the same price (the iPhone 30 plan), so it's all good.
  • Really lufcgirl? Apple, TBH I'm a bit of an Apple Fan boy.. :-) Everything on on my desk here is Apple, iMac, iPod, iPhone.. usual mouse keyboard! :-)

I just wish my unlock would hurry up.. Amazed at O2 for supplying them with users still in contract and also for free! Must be an Apple thing I think! Can't see O2 doing that off their own backs really. They wouldn't do with 'normal' contracts..

lol once you have Mac you never go back....

I have my unlock for the iPhone, took about five days and plan on using the Irish sim in it because I use that more than the o2 one. Also, we offer an unlimited text bolt on for iPhone for £7.34 a month, and o2 only do 500 for £7.50, very disappointing because they did have the unlimited one then took it off sale.
  • Mac = I know! 'It just works......' :-)

I'll be signing for Orange as soon as I get my code. Strange, seems to be taking a while for me. I filled in O2's unlock form on the 9th - Yet lots of people appear to have got their unlock already! So hoping it's not going to be too long for me.

Anyway, thanks for your help. Hope to speak soon.

    Off to bed... Zzz

  • Hi lufc,

Im not a big poster but a big reader and was hoping you might be able to help.

Ive been with Orange nearly ten years now and spend over £100 a month on my bill. Do you know what banding i would be and whether i could get an iPhone and a free bundle at all?

    Hi Luke

You won't get any discounts at all on the iPhone. Everything you see online at orange.co.uk is what you can get. If you do spend over £100p/m then chances are we'd be able to give you a really good offer to stay...on any other phone. Unfortunately nobody, not even disconnections is able to discount the iPhone or the tariffs available.

    Hope this helps

£100 a month is a hell of a mobile bill, what the hell do you use it for?

If I was you I would ditch the idea of the iPhone and get a HTC Hero. Don't want to go into the whole debate about which is better but IMVHO the Hero ROCKS and I wouldn't swap it for an iPhone. Plus its loads cheaper :)

Thank you so much for getting back to me.

They offered me an unlimited text bundle for an addtional £7.50. Would there be any chance they would do something on this?
