Go on the Orange website and take a look at what they're charging for the Satio, then phone them back and hope you get offered the same deal, £30 for the phone is an absolute steal

If your lucky enough to be irish, your lucky enough ;)
  • I have been trying to negotiate a new deal for the other phone on my account for my 15 year old. She was on Dolphin 15 but keeps going over the minutes. This contract has now just finished.
I have been offered after a bit of haggling £ 20 for 18 months
    Blackberry Curve 8900
800 mins, unlimited texts, Blackberry bolt on, orange care
    Is this a good deal?

I may try to get broadband too as they don't seem to want to go down on the monthly tariff.

That deal is brilliant considering you'd have to pay £6 for care and £4.89 for the blackberry bundle, so whoever has done this deal has had to discount them fully as well as doing an upgrade to a high value handset for free!
  • hi guys.
this is my first post. well after reading a few post basically i got the impression that this 14.69 is a base price they would offer you for a higher end fone, so this is what i was aiming for when i called up.

just went straight thro to 'if you are thinkin og leaving orange' part of the automated service.

this guy came on, and first impressions i wasnt sure if he was very friendly, and thort 'here we go!'..... but actually he was really helpful.

i asked im due to end my contract soon is there anything he could do to keep me on. then i asked re iphone, and he said no he cant budge on iphone, apple are tight !!!!ers and they cant change the tariffs. so i ventured into the other handsets.

he sed he could do the blackberry 8520 for 14.69 with 400 mins and unlimited txts and bb internet. so i sed i would think about it if he could call me back.

... then i did some research, had a look at other fones. and decided upon mayb the htc hero.

after some searching he offered my the hero for 25 quid extra, and same tariff. but i wanted unlimited data aswell so overall my tariff is now 19quid.

pretty gud deal i thort?and the chap was quite nice, i have to say considering i was paying 35ish quid a month for dolphin 35, with a !!!!!! viewty that died in the last 2 months, im quite happy with this deal.

    what do you guys think?
  • just rang orange about upgrading to the iphone. now i am still in contract till may but willing to pay out of it for the phone.

    got told to
1 it will cost me to end the contract. AND i will lose my number (i have had it for 10 years) to become a new customer with orange
    2. get a payg iphone!
    3. wait till may!

the 3 things i dont want to do ;-)... so do i wait to see what Voda start offering or shall i argue the toss over option 1?

You could buy out your contract, get a PAC to transfer to PAYG on another network and then come back to Orange and get to keep your number.
