I just got this phone for free.
£24.87 per month, 800 mins, u/l internet and u/l text.
Seems quite good to me, any thoughts ?nothing.0 -
Wasnt happy with what orange offered via normal updrage route so I have gone direct to dial a phone via quidco and got HTC for free there
As stated above i have been paying £40-50/ mth and am way past my upgrade time so have been a little peeved that there wasnt a better offer on the table from them.
I had decided i really wanted an HTC hero and have been prepared to go wherever i can for the best deal. As it turns out, it is with Orange, but as a new customer so I will probably lose my number (unless I port to an un-used ASDA PAYG and then port to Orange, can i do this????_)
Anyway- works out, when you include cash back- 22.50 / mth, 24 mth contract, free phone, unltd texts , etc etc and £50 from quidco.
To be honest I have spent so much time on this now I was glad to just make a decision and stop agonising!!!!I reckon for my spend levels tis is a pretty good deal.0 -

And are you happy with the Hero phone. I am going to Phones for you to look at it and have a play and hopefully sign up. Also going to look at the Blackberries and speak to Orange and see what they can give.
It is a head ache huh?The art is not in making money, but in keeping it!!!0 -
Ok, may I ask for advice aswell??
My gf is on Orange Contract, which is due for an upgrade on the 19th of September. Its a 400 Mins + 400 text for 24.95.
Firstly, she needs a new phone!! Doesnt need to be anything fancy, nice colour and a nice cam would be great. Ideally I would like to give her an option to check her emails, hence I-net should be included.
I was thinking of the Nokia 6700 (pretty solid phone from what I saw and read) and bc we both use Magic number, she never ever reaches the 400 mins and uses max 100 + 100 text.
Do you think they would do the same deal incl I-net plus the nokia?
Or does anyone have any other recommendation?
Thanks for your help.

Didn't go for it though, since I had already signed for O2.0 -
I don't believe it! After weeks of ranting about how TMobile new customer sales could give me a better deal on an HTC Hero than Orange rententions........ they're merging!
AGHH! :rotfl:0 -
I was offered 200 minutes, 300 texts, unlimited internet and a BlackBerry 8120 for just under £15 a month.
But I don't really want a new phone, and they refused to go any lower per month if I stuck with my "old" handset, so they obviously don't want my business that much. I unlocked my phone with a code from ebay and, as a low user, I'll probably go PAYG. But not with Orange.import this0 -
