    i've been offered w995 (67 quid), 200 mins unlimited texts £14 pm.

Got them down from 127 for the phone but would like it free.

I'd have took that in a second, thats a great deal, and that handset is really nice

  • ORANGE RETENTION OFFER
I have been offered a brand new SE W995 FOC . I was on a 18mth Racoon 25 (200 min + 300 txt) at #30 per mth. Now being offered a free phone and #14.67 per mth with same mins + txts.
Are there any hidden costs that I should be aware of? I welcome your advice.
  • Forgot to mention got the phone this morning (and have 7 days to cancel)
  • Hi all, I wanted the Nokia 6700 but to reduce my monthly bill (currently approx £35/month for unlimited texts and 200mins) so I called them to say that I wanted to arrange leaving Orange as I'd found the same deal elsewhere for £20/month (friend has this on 3 mobile). Very nice guy said he'd look at my bill to see if they could match that, turns out I can have the phone, 400 mins and unlimited texts for £15/month = result!!

I posted earlier about my 6700 + racoon deal for £19.57 pm ..... well I got the phone but rang as they had not confirmed the deal in writing only to find it is up on the screen on my account as being £25 now!!!!

They have given me the returns freephone number which I'll be ringing tomorrow afternoon if they have not contacted me to confirm the lower monthly rental. If I'd awaited my bill it would have been too late to cancel - BEWARE!

As long as it was notepadded on your acc you'll have no problem. Did you get her name and an ext number ?

nope never even thought to get details as i wasnt even expecting them to offer me anything.
  • I've also posted this on the main thread, but wondered if someone else could help me out... I hope it's okay to post it twice? I just don't really know what to do now!

I am SO disappointed with Orange! Been a customer of them for 7 years, first on pay as you go and then on contract for the last 5 years. My contract's coming to an end next month so I phoned up this morning and told them I was thinking of leaving, as I'd found some good deals with other companies. I don't really want to leave - I just hoped they'd offer me a good deal to renew, as I'm not really getting enough minutes at the moment. The man on the phone just said 'okay that's fine, your disconnection date is XXX and we'll send you a letter confirming it in the post. Thanks, bye!'. And that was that, end of conversation!

I must have paid them hundreds of pounds over the last few years; I had a phone bill of £180 off them once! So I can't believe they didn't even try and keep me - they have made me feel like the most UNvalued customer ever :( Really really annoyed actually, as it will be a real hassle to change providers and numbers etc - but what else can I do?

If I phone up and tell them I don't really want to move after all, will that blow all my chances of getting any good deals? Any advice appreciated! x

Attempting to pay off our debts! Balances Jan 2018 -
    Family member £3,700 - Virgin CC £1,000 - MBNA £1,700 - Barclaycard £2,500 (was £2,700) - Halifax CC £1,280

Have you actually seen these better deals?

If so try phoning up again tell them what deals you have seen and ask if they can match it, stress that you dont want to leave orange but would be foolish not to take a cheaper deal.

thats what im planning on doing when i upgrade in a week or two.
