Well I've just rung to get the W995 for £67 and the lower tariff and they have no record of me speaking to someone this morning and wont give it to me. I have rung twice and got the same both times.

Is it worth another go, really peeved off now!

I phoned a few weeks to cancel my contract due to the change of the terms and conditions.

The woman i spoke to was really nice though and said if i waited until the 5th of september to upgrade i can get a htc hero, unlimited txts, 1200 mins unlimited internet and orange maps for £29.99 a month.

She said she would phone back on the 5th and arrange it but im worried nobody will call and i wont be able to get that deal.

As long as it was notepadded on your acc you'll have no problem. Did you get her name and an ext number ?
  • I know this is a silly question but that 5800 offer for £10 a month which someone stated here... Will I be able to get something like that if I signup as a new customer? Im considering moving to Orange if I can get such an offer.

As a new customer you have little pull, you'll get changed close to the web/shop price. It's not like you can ask for your pac code and leave !
  • yeah I thought that too.... thanks for the answer though :)
  • i'm out of contract with orange now but want to wait until the SE Satio comes out in October.

reading this thread now though, i don't hold out much hope of getting a decent deal :(
If your lucky enough to be irish, your lucky enough ;)

I dont think they know what you are on about. I have spoken to many differnent people all offering completley different deals and then I get a phone call from Orange customer care to see how I am getting on with orange. I had a bit of moan at him and he says 'oh i'll put a note on screen to say you unhappy' wow how thoughtful for him.

Can anyone explain the 'points system' they keep mentioning?

The computer works out your 'worth as a customer' based on your spend over the last 6 months. How many out of bundle mins/text you use, how much they make out of you. The more they make the better offer you get.

Retentions have some ley way, but there's no point telling them that some other customer got X mins/text ect because their spend wouldn't be the same as yours. . .
