10% off is standard.....shouldnt have to ask for it ! mention you seen something on website about it " whats that about ? ", free broadband isnt affected as your still on a £30 plan - its the plan that FREE broadband recognises ( ie....Dolphin " 30 " ) not the amount you pay for it , I have £5 unlimited BB on Dolphin 35 with a £20 discount a month as I took that over a free N95 come upgrade time
ie...old Broadband Unlimited, 8MB with free calls to 100 countries 01/02/03 landlines & Orange mobiles, old Dolphin Direct -550 mins & unlimited texts with a 2000 x net bolt on, £20 per month ALL in, its all good and the bank balance is certainly brighter even if Orange's balance aintSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Have just come off the phone with orange retentions. Phoned customer services back regarding the offer yesterday, and mentioned that I thought I was also meant to have a loyalty discount when the nice lady said:
" oh yes, hang on we can only offer you the online web offers for new customers, I'll have to transfer you "
first words of next person I spoke to was " hello, I believe you want to leave Orange"
Have now got the HTC TyTn II free on Raccoon 35 (700min / 100txt / anytime landline) for £25. Beats any other offer on this phone on other networks that I've seen.
So as mentioned several times in this forum don't accept the offer from the first customer services personnel on 150.0 -
^ you lot are starting to learn ! well done DPWSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0

My phone has been playing up and am only 15 months in to my 18 month contact. I have been offered by the retentions dept:-
Free Handset, either:
Sony Ericsson W850i http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/0,39030107,49293508,00.htm
or LG Viewty (with 2gb SD card free)
http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/0,39030107,49292601,00.htm
600 mins and Unlimited texts for £30 (rather than £35)
Free mobile insurance for 18 months of contract
Has anyone had experience with these phones, and would you avoid either of them?
This seems like a pretty good deal!! What do you guys think?
Thanks,
Chris0 -
both are decent phones, i have the k850i and prefer it cos i hate the touch screen on the viewty
deal is slightly standard (600mins and unlimited texts is the online deal, theyre basically giving £100 cashback which is standard deal in store at least, though the store couldnt do it with the 600mins only 500), the free mobile insurance its probably the premier service package or whatever theyre calling it now for free usually its like £10pm,
its good if you were going to get insurance anyway otherwise i'd say its a pretty standard deal,
maybe try and push for a bit more
btw youve put w850i on your post, its k850i completely separate phonesYes Your Dukeiness0 -
Its only because when a phone is outside its 12 month warranty Orange will not repair it.
As a result of my phone slowly dying, they have offered me the insurance to cover such a problem in the future
They have offerend me the line rental at £30 rather than £35 as well.
So you would go with the K850i?0 -
Whats the picture quality like with each phone?
Printed off any of the pics?0 -
i would go for k850i yeah, somewhere on here theres a whole discussion about viewty v k850i
the k850i has had some problems, but the latest software seems great, viewty had a couple of problems too main complaint seemed to be the camera being faulty but not that many and again not recently,
camera on k850i and viewty both look great on the phones themselves
havent seen viewty pics on screen, my k850i ones are decent but not so great in bad lighting they're grainy slightly but are of printable quality.Yes Your Dukeiness0 -
