the best deal after a lot of rangling he could offer was:

    £29 a month for:
    1500 any network mins
free phone - any to be selected by me, and he said im guessing i'll get the most expensive one to which i replied yes.
    unlimited texts
    free home broadband
500mb unlimited internet on my phone
    orange maps
and they googled the cost of the touch pro 2 and offered a £400 cash back so i can go buy the phone too, so 2 phones!
tried getting more extras like icture messages etc but he said no.

    anyone get anything better?

    Are you on drugs?

Let me get this straight... you actually want a better deal than that???

Go and try getting a deal like that anywhere else.

I don't know how Orange could possibly make anything but a phenomenal loss on that....

Apart from getting a pint of blood out of the operator you spoke to, I wouldn't expect anything else to be frank...

Had another shot at Orange Loyalty, must have got someone having a bad day or something, wouldn't offer anything, said there is no way anyone would be given credit to buy a phone elsewhere even if they've been told it's been coming for ages, all they can offer is what they have. Said only option was to cancel and go elsewhere! Hardly helpful of them.

It shouldn't come down to whether an individual is having a bad day. Their off spell is costing that company! I hate people who take their bad feelings to work!

I wonder if they are bored with people cancelling due to Orange changing their costs of calls. The woman the other day was very pleasant, did try to help. This guy wasn't interested at all, kept sighing as if I was keeping him from something. When I said about going elsewhere he just said ok. Eventually got an address to write to, might give that a go.

I am in my last month of an 18month contract

I had seen a better deal with orange for a touchscreen mobile with 400 mins and 3000 texts and a free nintendo wii, I was very tempted by this offer, as I was paying THREE £30 a month for 300 mins and 3000 texts.

so rather then go through usual upgrade I went to cancellation dept. And told them I had found a better deal elsewhere and wanted to leave.

they tried there best to give me a better deal but it wasn't one that I was interested in. I'm a light user and rarely even use half my call mins allowance, so giving me an extra 200 mins of calls a month seemed pretty pointless.

I kindly refused there offer, and said unless they could match orange's deal then I will be leaving and giving them my 30 days notice.

Anyway they called me back and said I could keep the same deal I'm on now 300 mins 3000 texts for £28 a month and they'd give me £200 comet vouchers so I could buy the wii and there giving me a new Samsung handset S7330. on a 12 month contract this time, compared to my usual 18 month contract.

I don't like the handset as I wanted a touchscreen, but they wouldn't budge on that. So accepted there offer. I shall search on ebay for a cheap touchscreen phone and sell the new samsung phone on there.

They did offer me a Samsung Tocco lite with 200 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet for £19.50 a month 12 month contract ( but with no free comet voucher)

hi my contract ends 24th sept is it worth calling now or should i wait a while? do you just ask customer services for upgrade offers?.....

o.k just called upgrades. I am currently on dolphin 25 (200 xnet mins & unlim texts) the only phone I like thats was offered was nokia 5800 for £48.50, 10% off line rental (£2.50per month) and there internet add on for free (£5.00 per month) definatly not a great deal to me maybe would've been swayed if the phone was free. Think I will have to wait until contract ends

Could try phoning disconnections, saying you want to leave due the price increase and see what they're prepared to offer you then... might get a better deal.

i have just phoned up orange asked for my pac code, and i cant believe how easy it was to get it.
    they offered me a package for £17 a month which included;
    400 cross network mins
    unlimited texts
    retain magic numbers

i asked for sony ericsson w995. she said i would have to pay £97.50 for the phone.

i said it wasnt good enough and ask for PAC code and she just ok its in the post.
    no other negotiation.

is this a good deal or not?

The normal price of that package is £24.99 for 18 months, so you're getting a nice discount but suppose it depends on how many minutes/texts you want really. And did you ask for the red or black version of the phone as I know the red can be more expensive.
