Orange Retention Offers

I just phoned up Orange to cancel (my contract is due to expire end Sept) and they made no effort at all to keep me as a customer! Was quite surprised really. I've been with them on a 24 month contract @ £35/month but unfortunately I was after the HTC touch HD which they no longer offer, and so wanted to cancel. The call only took about 2 minutes, and the PAC code is in the post! I will be sorry to leave, had absolutely no problems with them (seems like a rarity!).0

You can still get the Touch HD in the Orange stores, but it has vanished from the web site and upgrades/retentions with no obvious replacement ? The Touch Diamond 2 would look to be the one to follow it up, but it doesn't look like Orange are going to be carrying it, strange with the relationship with HTC over the years ??0 -

Yeah, well I know orange had problems with the HTC touch hd with their own custom firmware on it, so I opted to go for an unlocked unbranded one from an online store. Shame really!
Odd, isn't it. Oranges own firmware screws up the phone and rather than release the unbranded version they drop it ! You have wonder who decides these things . . .0 -

I've seen a few posts about the speaker not working on other forums and a few on here I think, they could be right ?0 -
Hi,
My Dad has been a PAYG Orange customer for over 6 years and was tempted to get a contract with Talk Mobile at CPW. He was offered a nokia 6303 with 100 min 100 texts at £8.49pm on a 24 month contract.
As Talk mobile reception is rubbish in his area, I phoned up Orange and spoke to loyalty who said they could do a nokia 6700 with 100 min and unlimited texts on a 24 month contract for £9.79pm.
Anyone think that this isn't a good deal?0 -
How much are Orange asking for their offer ?0

Oops! Forgot to say its £9.79 per month0

I have been a longterm Orange customer.
I get free broadband and the cinema and magic numbers.
I was on 700 minutes plus 100 texts with all UK landline calls free. £25 including a free blackberry curve and the blackberry data package for £5.
I said i was not using all my minutes.
They changed it to 600 minutes, 300 texts and everything else the same for £20 a month
they initially wanted to charge me £50 for the phone. I said NO not with what I spend with you guys (just had a £100 bill cos I was abroad) they sent me up the line and up the line and eventually someone said yes i could have the phone for free
