where did you find that? what website isit? is tat a 18month contract?
It's available instore. All the Vodafone stores have much banners advertising it. I think the tariff is 600 minutes and 1000 texts, 18 months.
Gonna ring Orange sometime but just wanted to check about the free broadband before I do
They offer free broadband with contracts now, or did up until recently. You can only ask as to what the current situation is when you ring them up.

For paid broadband there certainly isn't. My girlfriend has our broadband on her account and she's only paying £15 a month.

I phoned Orange about 2 weeks ago as my account stated I could upgrade and any extra months would be added to my contract. My contract ends mid July so I asked to upgrade with a HTC Touch HD. I've been an Orange customer through thick and thin for 9 years out of 10 so I was surprised to be told I would be charged over a £100 for the phone! I was put through to retentions were a lovely Scttish lady fiddled with the figures and said I could have the phone for £30 on a 24 month £35 monthly contract with 500mb data, 1200 mins and unlimited texts. This was all moot as they didn't have any in stock any way but she promised me faithfully she would contact me when they came in. They appeared back in stock on the website but no phone call so last thursday I phoned them again only to be told this offer wasn't possible it was a chargable phone etc. Then I was cut off mid sentence!! There was no curtesy ring back so I tried again only to get a third advisor, who was quite clearly having a mouthed conversation with a third party (I could hear mutterings) who again stated it would be over a hundred pounds and would not bargain. The daft thing is I could go to Carphone warehouse and get the thing on the same contract i'm on now (£30) for free!

    Hi HowlinWolf,
A Cheque cashback? Wow, never come across that before...on an orange direct deal? Was it through upgrades/rententions.

You need to push harder, because there are certainly far superior deals out there for a long time Orange customer spending £30 a month. But I'd wait a little bit now. The best offers will always be had within one month of your contract expiring. So ring up towards the end of June, and state in no uncertain terms that you want the HTC Touch HD on a reduced price contract (they should be beating CPW deals, not matching them) and the phone for free. If they can't do anything for you, request your PAC code and see if that jogs them in to life. Ultimately you have been a customer for a long time and are spending a decent amount every month. They should fight to keep hold of you, so make them squirm.

    Neither have I. Most unusual.

I'd appreciate any help on this. I'm in my final month of an 18-month Orange £25/month discounted to £15 month.

I also have Home Max broadband with them - £25/month discounted to £15.

I want a Blackberry Curve 8900 on unlimited data. They've offered:

    400mins/unlimited texts
    550mb data allowance
£24.47 per month over 18 months
NO Orange Maps (because it's less than £30/month)

Alternatively, I could move to O2 where I'm entitled to 30% tariff discount through my employer. They'd give me:

    600 mins/100 texts
    unlimited data (fair usage)
£23.98/month over 18 months (after my discount)
£20.56/month over 24 months (after my discount)
presumably I get the pre-loaded Blackberry maps...

Have spoken to Orange about improving their offer but they truly won't budge. I'm tempted to move to O2 on principle, even though I'd have to take my broadband account elsewhere.

    What do you think?

think they are offering the 500mb bundle to quite a few people, I got offered yesterday 200 minutes and unlimited texts for £18 per month, then add an extra £5 per month for the data bundle. I still though have to pay £5 for the wireless broadband (have broadband with my contract for past few years and upgraded soon after to make it wireless)

Got the Nokia 5800 on contract with the above

I have an orange PAYG simcard which I never use, but I thought I'd try my luck with retentions. Anyway, been offered various things including:
    Nokia 5800, £19something/month, 400 mins, unltd texts.
Tocco Ultra, as above but £24.47/month
HTC Touch HD, 1200 mins, unlimited texts and data / £34something per month.

I was quite impressed seeing as how I've only ever made one call off this SIM, they're offering me anything at all. I really want the touch HD but £34 is a bit much really, are any of these deals any good?
