I'm thinking of leaving orange and getting an iphone (via a staff memeber)but I've just seen the HTC Touch HD and thought that this was a rather nice phone.

I cant for the life of me see any plans from orange where they offer unlimited web browsing, my current tariff is £35pm so Ideally I'd lile to drop this a little.

Any ideas what I might get the phone for?

Touch HD deals are a bit of an anomaly at the moment, as the phone is very highly regarded and in demand. That means that the deals cost more. There has been an instance of someone on here who got a free Touch HD on a £15 p/m tariff through retentions, but that was quite extraordinary and is no where near the norm. You'd normally expect a free Touch HD on a £25 p/m tariff at best. But that's the thing about retentions; everyone has individual experiences, and you can only ask and ask again. Orange do cater for unlimited web browsing, but again this is an addition that can make the whole thing more expensive. Just call them and see what they can do.

    nokia 6500 slide

    £15/month

    and

    nokia 6220
    400 minutes - unlimited texts & internet
    £20/month

still going to wait a bit longer, asked for a call back on the 20th and to leave these deals on a note.

i might try to go for a more expensive deal to get a better phone and sell it.

    Hi Crazy Jamie,
Does the "unlimited browsing" deal not just mean 500mb a month "fair usage"?

Also, has anyone come across a good deal on roaming, I'm here in Northern Ireland and when working down south (ROI), Orange RIP THE **** out of the roaming charges.
I used to have a Metor sim but I would rather not go to that trouble again.
My wife has a 3 phone and 3's Just like Home service is AMAZING! It's the only thing which is luring me away from Orange!

    Thanks,
    flipdee
