    flipdee,

Go 3, I have a secondary 3 contract ontop of my Orange, saves a fortune !

Have used 3LH in Europe & Australia - saved an absolute fortune, well worth it, Orange roaming even on head office's Orange France is expensive as hell so rest assured even Orange measly roaming bundles dont cut the mustard in general, let alone with the SUPERB 3LH, I divert Orange to 3 worldwide as incoming calls are cheaper on 3 - only Unique makes me stay Orange @ home.

If you are looking for a new contract with 3, don't let "3 Like Home" be the deciding factor as this benefit is due to cease 30th June 2009. Make sure you like the rest of 3's service before signing on the dotted line, or taking the phone out of the box.

How much do you spend at the moment per month? I think you can do better than that.

    Currently have 400 minutes + unlimited texts = £30 - £5 loyalty discount, so £25 PM.

I have also had my Orange contract come to an end but decided not to deal as you can get better cashback offers but if you really dont want the fuss then push them hard and they should give you a loyalty voucher plus phone vouchers which they use to bring the cost of the handset down. It was all very :-S but it short you will be hard pushed to find a contract that is cheaper than getting a new one from a independent retailer

There are a couple of problems with that. First of all many of the independent deals are based on cashback that is an absolute pain to claim for, if indeed it is honoured at all. Second, it is perfectly possible to get a deal through retentions that blows anything from independent retailers out of the water. Mine does.

Has any one been able 2 get a phone company 2 match a cash back deal? Ive been with orange for 5years and have had some good up grades. I am now getting 700 mins 100 texts for £25, 18mouth contract and a Samsung g600 which I can upgrade now. I used the comparison sites and they give better deals but with cash back. I would like a Samsung tacco ultra, would like 2 keep the money & contract time the same but can cut the mins down if need be.(only use bout 300 a month). Is this realistic or should I go with another company.

i used the comparison sites in the links from the mobile phone pages on martins site and found t mobile 2 be 1 of the best deals, with cashback i could get the ultra for about £20 a month but only 200 mins & txts on an 18 month contract. orange want £25 for the same.

To be fair Vodafone offer the Tocco Ultra on a £25 a month contract at the moment. Just threaten to go to them if Orange won't give it to you for free keeping the tariff the same.

Im looking at upgrading my phone. As I have wireless broadband with them, currently free with my contract and an extra £5 for the wireless part and free evening/weekend calls (which I never use)

Am paying about £30 per month for 200 mins and 1000 texts - this doesnt include the £5 for broadband as get billed for that seperately for some reason

If I downgrade my package is the broadband still free as when I joined up with them you had to be on a contract of £30 or more which I still am but get the loyalty discount

Im not as bothered about many minutes included, texts I would like quite a few but its the mobile internet that I would prefer to be included and was looking at the nokia 5800 possibly.

Gonna ring Orange sometime but just wanted to check about the free broadband before I do:D
