It's just not fair at all.
I have phoned them and all they offered me was a nokia 5800, 400mins/UL text/ UL web for 24.95.
Calculated all my bills over my contract and they average out at £49.month.
I want that HTC HD deal as above!!!:oCurrent Debt £38,000:o

Not sure I asked this originally, but when does your contract end?"MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0

Dial 150 from your handset and go through the voice thing until you get to the one saying 'if you're thinking of leaving Orange', if not just ask to be put through to retentions at the first customer services person you get.0 -

0800 079 0272I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
Contact ended yesturday with orange,
Currently HTC Touch
500mins/250texts
5mb!
@ £20 PCM
Spoke to orange few weeks ago with 150 number, called a few times,
Best they came up with was:
600mins/500texts
'unlimted' landline
'unlimted' internet
|@ £25 PCM
But wanted just under £200 for the Touch HD
Or around £150 for the C905
Perhaps I was going in a little high with the handsets?
Anyway, called today with number on PAC code letter,
Though I'd ask for a N85 as it ticks the boxes for me and seems to be free on most packages to new customers now. Been offered the following:
600mins/300texts
unlimted landline
unlimited internet
@ £25
N85: £107
the alternative was to pay more for the phone and get internet in £20 which would be cheaper in long run:
600mins/300texts
unlimted landline
unlimited internet
@ £20
N85: £145.50
- Over the contact this would work at about £28 PM which doens't seem that great, thinking of moving to three with a mid priced contact, and go through their retenions at the end of end contact as they always seem despirte to give you a good deal.0 -
Yeah there's nothing world beating there. See if you can find something you like from other providers, then challenge Orange to beat it."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0

I've been looking at other networks, theres nothing that really does that well compared to what I've been offered.
Espeically in terms of phones for cost. 'unlimited landline' is a good offer too. However who do I know that uses a landline still :rotfl:0 -
Does that tariff suit your needs? Could you make do with a lower tariff to bring the cost down? Have you asked them what the best phones are that they could do with that deal?
You also might want to try asking for your PAC code. Things do tend to get a little better when you ask for that."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0 -
I would pretty much NEVER agree to paying £25 a month plus for and upgrade and STILL have to pay for the handset, that is crazy. If they value your business then they will be in contact once you have requested your PAC code. Id personally leave and take up a slightly higher monthly line rental and go through Quidco and look at Autocashback deals and you should come out better off even as a new customer. Orange are just being rude expecting you to pay that0
