Orange Retention Offers
Comments
-
Hi,
My contract for orange runs out in july, however I can upgrade as of today - which is 3 months earlier than the end. Is there a chance of me being able to get a good deal? I was thinking that they wouldn't have a need to put me through to retentions because I am not within the 1 month period for giving a notice to end the contract. However, if I were to say that I was thinking about ending the contract now and paying up for the remaining 3 months, do you think that they would put me through to retentions/cancellations and offer me a good deal?
(Currently on a 18 month contract and have been with orange 3+ years with bill of £40+ per month)

Have just had a phone call from orange, they offered me 200 mins, unlimited texts and a samsung touch screen phone (didnt get model) for a tenner a month. Seems to good to be true. I told them I'd think about it (on my way out) but they said I could only have it there and then. Will they phone back do you think? Current contract finishes in June0

They always say different things about the validity of offers, I've had the following said to me: only on the phone call, valid for 24 hours, valid for two days, valid for whenever.
If it's really a good deal take it, but I prefer to keep ringing back until I get what I want.0 -
Been a reader for sometime on this thread would like to thank you all very much.

I was on £15pcm, 200 mins, unlimited texts.
Rang up for more minutes, they just gave me 18 month, £10pcm, 400 minutes and unlimited texts. And a nokia 6301 (aka £70 because I'll sell it straight away).
Didn't even try and argue or anything, that's just what I got. Quite happy, in 6 months I'll ring up and try to get a better phone.

I'd love to just use this thread as a bargaining tool, because the operators always insist that they never give such deals.
Your spend must have been really good.0 -

In fact it wasent at all to be honest was paying 2* £15 for the previous 18 months but not anyway near as good a deal as the one they have just given me!
Might have somthing to do with the fact I processed PAC code orders for both numbers?0 -

Well done then, I might consider waiting up until the last month and processing the PAC code first, waiting to receive it in the mail and then phone up the last chance phone number that they apparently give you.
Those are terrific deals you got. I'd have liked to have got that, just to sell the phone to be honest.0 -

Yea, deals are a lot better when your running 'out of contract' so to speak but apparently requesting your PAC code adds extra points to the system for them to use or somthing (Person at orange was telling me).
Anyway good luck! :money:0 -
