E50 is not excluded from the 10% then 5% per annum ( as per ED50 term ) loyalty rewards* RE Orange's OWN T&C & at no point does it state moving over to a 18 month term on any plan gets you the 10% off....customer has right to complain - disconnections are doing thier job yes, but they are not applying to Oranges OWN T&C, customer should have been able to renew E50 for 12 months with 20% off 6 months ago & possibly more given it prob should have been minimum of 15% in Oct 2006

    Discount Line Rental Promotion

The line rental discount promotion (the "Promotion") is available from 1 September 2005 and applies to existing customers, subject to the additional "Our Customers First" terms set out below (the " Eligible Customers").
The Promotion is 10% discount off your monthly line rental for your contract term.
At the end of your minimum contract term you will be able to either select another Our Customers First Promotion or to increase the discount off your monthly line rental by 5% for your next minimum contract term, subject to a maximum of 25% discount off your monthly line rental. Any additional line rental discount will apply from your next bill date.
Customers selecting another Our Customers First Promotion at the end of their minimum contract term will continue to be entitled to receive 10% discount off their monthly line rental.
Connection is subject to status and a 12 month minimum contract, or as otherwise set out in the "Our Customers First" terms below.
****Customers on Business tariffs, line 2, sharers on a sharer service plan, OVP Virgin and Boxed & Ready are not eligible for the Promotion****
If your account is terminated for any reason or you migrate to a non-eligible tariff you will cease to be eligible for the Promotion.
Orange reserves the right to replace or amend this Promotion or these terms and conditions at any time on reasonable notice.

Wow am really baffled now only because as far as am concerned I could only get the phone if i went on a 18month deal!!! I do feel duped into but thats only because the plan wasnt suitable to my needs as a customer.

Am really torn between the arguments on the forum now :-( Anyway on the note of selling E50 i havent seen it go for anything near £70 on ebay but maybe i havent looked hard enough.

aaahhhh then you prob have different guidelines ( but regardless a customer on E50 does NOT have to accept 18 months or discount or handset, direct or not thats what they are entiltled to - all 3, when you do an upgrade prob better get an additional monthly credit to customers a/c and sell them a payg cos E50 upgrades on 12 month or 18 month ( that dont even officially exist ) plans are quite the crappiest, also dont matter where you took E50 out at the time - all upgrades should be 12 months with discount & a handset - why you think Orange hate the E50 plan so much ? costs them £££ if your incoming call revenue is low, they never thought of that when plugging " get rid of your BT line " back then ( & as all MSE now know having a BT line can Now save you money until 50% of landlines are LLU'ed and OFCOM pull the ruling away from BT )

here customer went direct to network via disconnections not via Orange retail or authorised Orange seller, Orange website T&C apply to customer here

were not arguing rich 225 ( why are you on this board then LOL ) we are debating wiether Orange ripped you off, and they did....... your on E50 you ARE are entiltled to a 12 month upgrade every 12 month with a 10% discount in your first year completion after 1/9//05 then 5% every annum per your upgrade date - can you dig out your renewal/upgrade dates from 2005 & i'll advise you to do a full complaint via EXEC OFFICE and sort out refunds on your overpayments due to discounts/upgrades/contract term not being applied as per Oranges T&C on your term being 12 months & your loyalty discounts, you are out of pocket for being LOYAL, you shouldnt be...... & the Exec Office will refund & poss compensate you

so you only had 2 upgrades since taking out via CPW ? you were entiltled to one every 12 months, first upgrade after 1/9/05 should have been 10% off E50 with handset upgrade, then every 12 months ( or the upgrades you have done since ) entiltled you to an extra 5% off up to a max of 25%, all upgrades should have had a handset ( albiet prob a crappy one unless your E50 plan £14.00-15.50 overspend was high/er ) & for term of 12 months

E50 is not excluded from the 10% loyalty or further 5% off & 18 months E50 never existed as a Orange plan & in Loyalty T&C it says nothing about discount upto 25% only by being moved to the same plan but extending your plans contract by 6 or 12 months
