Spoke to a very friendly mackem who managed to sort me out with the following-

    700 Xnet minutes
    350 Texts
    Unlimited Landline Calls
    3 Magic Numbers
    Unlimited Data Bundle
    Free HTC Touch HD phone
    Free Mini Parrott Car Kit

    £30 a month for 18 months!
    Result! :T

Im happy enough with that. Moral of my tale is to keep trying if you arent getting the deal you want first time. That was the 4th time I called and the 4th different person I spoke to in retentions.

Sorry if this has previously been covered.

The way things work with Orange is on a points basis. The points seem to be allocated for length of service, monthly spend, and payment record, all these are plus's. So to get the best deal stay put and negotiate.

I recently on 14mth & 20 days of an 18 mth contract broke my phone screen, I rang to see if I could have a new phone/contract. A resounding no! 15 mth now absolute minimum, I phoned back for a pac number got the same answer, but a great deal on a Nokia 5800 if I ring back in 10 days. That date has now passed but I am hanging on until the new LG KM 900 Arena is available.

I'm coming up to the end of my 18month contract with Orange.
I am currently on the Canary 40 tariff. I never go over my usage, so only ever pay the £40 a month.

I'm looking to move onto a Sim only deal for a few months in anticipation of new phones being released, as nothing currently interests me.

What sort of deal should I be looking to get out of Orange? Is there even deals to be had on Sim only deals?
I would probably be looking at the Dolphin 20 package, ideally I would be wanting web access in the package too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was told no deals on the SIM only offers. Once you have been on a SIM only offer for a min of 3 months, then you can ring up and negotiate.

what may i ask is WM?
500mb is plenty for MOST people.
also could i ask why you are putting a downer on everyone's retentions deals?
start your own thread if you are not happy.

I am currently on Racoon 35 which gives 700 xnet, 100 txt, u/l landlines, also got them to include u/l web browsing. I also have free bb and pay £25. On top of this I have an extra 200 mins free for life,150 mins web promo and 3 magic numbers. I am due for renewal soon and my only issue is that I have a very poor signal at home and find myself having to move around the house.

My question is I have read about Orange Unique (Thank you Diamonds) and have a few questions. I don't want to pay more than £25 a month, 100 txts are ample for me and I want to keep my ul web browsing. The minutes I have are far more than I use. Would should I be looking at getting for my £25 with Orange Unique ?, If I change tariff do I lose my 200 free minutes for life and 150 web promo ? Ideally I would like the BB Curve and would want full fuctionality, BB costs on top ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

I've only just found this thread or else would have posted earlier.

I've just come out of my contract and have got my PAC code from orange. When I explained that I wanted to cancel he didn't argue, tho said I'd got alot of loyalty. I've been with them since 1996. My reason for leaving is due to poor reception where I live and other rural areas that I work in. Are there any phones which reduce reception problems? If so are orange likely to give me one with a good deal?

I have another phone with them which is on an old Virgin Tarriff which my 9yr old has and I'm going to keep. Otherwise I'm taking my main contract to Vodaphone as they have the best reception here and are putting in more masts locally.
