Orange Retention Offers

  • Getting nowhere with Orange.

They wouldnt budge on the initial offer.
  • I have been offered 600 mins and unlimited texts and unlimited internet for £20 a month with a new phone. Sounds pretty good so far I thought...but can I do better? I would have to sign up to an 18 month contract when T-mobile are doing the very same thing on a sim-only basis. I have been with Orange for years and would like to reap some rewards especially after that have truly messed me around on more tan one occasion.

The free phone is the LG Cookie. This would be a downgrade from the HTC TyTN II that I use at the moment. It is still a top class phone and only a couple of the phones available are significant upgrades. I would have to pay through the nose for these. Do you think Orange should be offering these discounted? or free?

    Thanks guys.

p.s. i have a couple months before my time runs out but i am in my upgrade period. should i wait until it's expired?

Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS
  • Id take it, Cookie not the best phone ever made but not awful, good price IMO and them giving you a rival to the Tytn is more than likely down to your spend level and such.
  • apparently taking the battling and timing approach works. i guess we will see in my next bill but apparently I have signed up for :

    time: 24 months
    rate: £14.68
    Phone:HTC Touch HD
    mins: 600
    texts: unlimitied
    internet: unlimited.

fancy that. hopefully they will all still be hip and happening in a years times. my tytn really has stood the test of time, still relevant and powerful today after 1.5 years.

HOW DARE YOU ! YOU, YOU, YOU.....WOMBLE !!!
LOL, great your still happy with your deal :)

I'm having more problems with 3 but thats for another thread.....

I'm a DIAMOND womble I never lose my touch, edge or shine, no matter what life throws - I shine on & on & on & on ;)

( put that laser away you CRAZY womble, or else I will have you sectioned under the Mental Health Act ! )

    " im the one " aaahhhh, SWEET ! :)

Never mind come almost 10 days from now I'm sure Orange will sort me out...when SATAN decides I the customer is correct & am due no such amounts.....given NO new Unique handsets are available I will be no handset upgrades on all accounts....so all I have avail on each account should be fully offset on priceplan

No Unique handsets are up for the forseeable future & given the launch of the Nokia 6300i ( another Unique version of N 6300 ) was cancelled last August & nothing on the horizon - 6301 was out of stock recently & O got another batch in - fools ! SE 705u avail on Orange France was the way to go, the first 3G Unique handset.....and yes O UK dont have it months after European launch & have not on the agenda, the Unique BlackBerry Pearl keyboard I'm suffering is SO annoying...great phone except keyboard, Dolphin on BB oh no not for me !

I heard a conference where the head of Unique was boasting a choice of 20 something Unique handsets throughout each of Orange Europe divisions, one word - LIAR, UK has had 4 from launch almost 2 1/2 years ago...!!!! poor marketing in UK, the same twit woman in charge of Unique does France & UK....she dont have a clue about Unique in UK, where as in France SUCCESS, marketing & support for Unique are non existent in UK - I need Unique for a signal at home ! Either that or o2, which is getting more & more the way I may head with all 3 accounts & broadband as O2 LLU my exchange on 28th - I might lose 2nd line with free calls but hey the product that Orange Uniquely fits ME but if I dont get a great deal as no handsets are avail im considering defo moving off to o2 for more of their hopeless customer care.......I may not be Orange very soon......who knows, I'll be sad to leave moreso for o2, but needs must.....

    2 X
    Simplicity £15

    300 mins 600 texts

Free o2 calls ( mainly need landline calls & a few X net minutes & free on net calls ie Racoon on Orange with " your group " )

Sure I can bag a bargain on o2 for that over 18/24 months with no handset when i give 30 days notice after a few days with new sims

other contract I'd need call o2 as need a priceplan similar to Panther 45, with o2 & landline calls and 1200 minutes, again 18 or 24 months - priority is price as I hate branded mobiles that restrict manufacturers * FEATURES *

Orange - just sick of SATAN saying no, and lack of Unique supported handsets !
