That's not going to happen in a million years. Not on 12 months anyway. 18 months possibly. Take it from me.
Hmm I see. I saw on mobilerainbow.co.uk they had a deal for samsung soul graphite for 500 mins, 375 texts at £14.58 AND a 12 month contract (with t mobile), Ill mention this to orange next time i phone! If they can maybe give me my current offer for 15 quid, even if they cant for 12 months, id be chuffed. Maybe they could throw in some free mobile browsing or something.
But this is all if the computer is letting me take the offer any lower!0 -

its not all about 'puter, it comes to a staff member, thier targets & their mood! & how you are with them - 1) REMEMBER THEIR NAME & use it in conversation - ask them to address you as like & not MR/MRS etc
be overly nice like a friend is on the line " what a nice/miserable day outside, hows your day going ?, sounds quiet there for a change " etc etc...I do this whenever I am on ANY call - nothing worse than being treated as a robot at work from anyone !
Do the above & you will 99% of the time get excellent customer care !
Mind you if " computer says no " & you made all the effort to treat staff member as human as possible & they responded as a human you defo know " COMPUTER SAYS NO ! "
I call Orange's very employee overide restrictive computer system SATAN
S orry " Computer says no "
A nother try ?
T ry
A gain ?
N o ! " COMPUTER STILL SAYS NO!!! "SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Hey guys I was just wandering if you could help me with my latest problem with Orang e Retentions. 16 months ago I got the following:
Dolphin 35 - £21.50
600 mins
Unlimited Texts
Sony Ericsson W910i Free
They've offered me the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic free with the following:
Either, Canary 30 -£22.50
800 mins
1500 texts
Orange-Orange calls unlimited
80MB data
Or, Dolphin 30 - £22.50
800 mins
unlimited texts
80MB data.
They also said I could have an N85 for £95.50 instead of the 5800.
I really want more data allowance so I asked what they could do. She said if I paid £27 upfront they'd add on the 500MB internet browsing on to either plan.
So effectively costing me just £24.
However I've seen some killer deals people getting on here. Do you think if I wait a bit longer and maybe use the PAC code threat I'd be able to just get the 500MB data for no charge? My contract's up in April. Cheers.
Edit: I gave it another shot and rang back. I said that I'd phoned a couple of times today and that I really wanted more data allowance and that nothing I'd been offered met that. So he said he'd see what he could do and I took this in the end:
Dolphin 30, 18 month - £22.50
800 mins
Unlimited Texts (3000)
Unlimited Data (500MB)
Keep magic numbers
Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Free
Which I think in the current climate is very reasonable, I thought I'd get palmed off with rubbish deals but I got exactly what I wanted.0 -

Yeh, I think they offered me that because I don't use anywhere near the max texts and practically none of the minutes; I really only use the unlimited calls to magic numbers.
I've got to upgrade my girlfriend's phone soon, which is the exact same plan so hopefully I can get something comparable with the N85.0 -

My heart is pounding right now.
Today I entered into my "upgrade period" of 90 days before I am able to cancel.
I have been on band 5 with Orange (last 3 bills £80-120) which is insane amount considering the call package I have is Dolphin 35 + £5 500mb internet plus 200mins free which was added as a goodwill last month to last me till the end of my contract.
Called 150 today and spoke to customer services and told them I basically want to haggle with their rentention team.
I said I wanted the HTC Touch HD and didn't want to pay for it and I wanted to drop the price of my contract.
Obviously I have entered into another 18 month contract which is fine with me, with a 3 month extension.
Here's the good bit!!!!!
HTC Touch HD for £49 where they would credit that back as airtime after I made the payment (ie. free)
Dolphin 35 reduced to £20 per month (600mins + unlimited texts)
500mb internet FREE
200 minutes addon FREE
I could probably have pushed for Orange Care for free but I have cover through my bank already.
What you think?0 -
I have used the 'search' facility but to no avail.
Please can some kind person post up any direct phone numbers to the Orange Retentions Team? Do these 'direct numbers' exist, or do you have to always go through the 150 no.?
Freefone numbers would be appreciated, but anything will do! :T
Many thanks.0 -

That's really good. I like the look of the Touch HD but it's Win Mobile, which I don't like.0
