Orange Retention Offers

Thanks to all posts on this forum!
I just extended my contract with Orange and am fairly happy.
I had 2 lines with orange (one for bro) on Dolphin 35, which had 2000 bonus mins. So i had 2600 X-network mins and unlimited texts and i had the blackberry bolt on added to mine. Contract expired this month.
I spoke many times to retentions who said they were unable to offer me anything because although i had lots of mins and texts, i was barely using 1000 mins and 50 txts on the 2 line combined!! I did say i didnt even need what i had and would actually prefer lesser mins for lower monthly payments. I was told to go on PAYG for a month and then rejoin as a new customer!
I was ready to leave but just decided to email exec office, who offered me 2 blackberry flips, blackberry package bolt on (£5), 1200 x-network mins, 500 txts and choice of either free orange or landline calls or unltd txts....for £30 each!
Not as good as my last upgrade seal but im happy considering what else was on offer.0 -
I was on orange dolphin 19 (75 mins, 150 texts) and was 4 months out of contract. I never use all of my call/text allowance because my most frequent calls are to my magic numbers so free anyway!
I rang the 0800 number and was straight with them. Told them I wanted a SE c902, told them the packages I'd seen online (but they were cashback deals).
Nice lady immediately offered me:
Free c902
18 month contract
100 mins
unlimited texts
keeping my magic numbers plus add 2 more
£13 per month.
Best deal I've ever had, so I'm happy :beer:Comping since July 2007.
Wins so far: ambre solaire gel, ipod shuffle, dida herbal tablets, travelguard holiday health kit, 2x avon lipgloss, 1 paperback book, 1 shrek keyring, 1 baileys music album download.
Target: win a Wii or xbox 360 for hubby.0 -
I think you'll probably need to wait till a month before your contract ends maybe? When you phone 150 choose the option where its "if you are thinking of leaving orange etc". Then tell them you wanna leave for 02 and the amount that you would pay with them and theyll probably give you a good deal.
I phoned orange today. I am currently on
350 mins 250 texts
£30 quid
18 month contract (ending next month)
for new customers they offer 400 mins and 500 texts for 25 quid! I phoned them up today and negotiated:
samsung soul (to be ordered in)
400 mins and 500 texts
£20 quid (5 pound cheaper than new customers)
18 month contract
I'm not 100% satisfied yet. I tried to get it for £15 with no luck. So when they text me to say the new phone is in stock I'll call them back asking for:
350 mins and 250 texts (what i have currently, that i dont even use completely)
£15
12 month contract (6 months less)
The equivalent online price for the above is like 33 quid! Here's hoping....any thoughts?
That's not going to happen in a million years. Not on 12 months anyway. 18 months possibly. Take it from me.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
Hi, i've been offered SE C.902, 300 anynetwork any time mins, 100 txts, unlimited landline calls and keep old broadband + livebox for £18 a month. was paying £35 for bit more mins but less txts. i think i'll say yes.
anyone done better when you include broadband?Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0 -
diamonds - hi, this unique service you have posted about it, it seems to be just for business customers is that correct?
the rates are similar to o2 when you buy the o2 add-on... so i would be tempted... but i'm not a business customer - do you think i could ask for it anyway? i generally just call and text ireland - text quite a lot, and these are costing me a fortune...

I've been able to keep my unlimited broadband for a fiver, while the deal i was offered is £20 for 400 mins 500 texts and unl orange to orange (samsung soul).
I wanna negotiate further and try for the following in this order:
£10 350 mins, 250 texts (18 month)
£15 350 mins 250 texts (12 month)
£15 400 mins 500 texts (18 month)
£15 350 mins 250 (18 month)
Im guessing maybe the 3rd option is what ill get, and I would be happy with that I think.
When offered the £20 deal I kinda said "yeh thats fine" (even though after I realised that i could do better) and the guy said he'd text me when the phone was in stock and I could phone back and finalise. Will this put me at a weak point in future calls, since I never said "ill think about it"? Should I still phone up retentions and demand they give me a better deal? (even though ive technically agreed to one lol)0 -
Well, I'm a happy chap.
Was wanting a HTC Touch HD but upgrade price was through the roof. Called 150 requesting PAC code and ended up with -
HD Touch HD - £195.50
200 Mins
Unlimited Texts (£15)
500mb data (£5)
£20 a month
£180 credit on account.
May not seem a stunning deal but I am a very light user as I have a company phone so 200mins is more than enough for my needs. All I really wanted was a shiny new toy to play with so having to pony up the dough for the handset upfront was a small price to pay. I'm sure I could have got a better deal if I stood my ground but hey, I'm new here!0 -
Orange seem to hate me.
On Dolphin 35, contract expired in December so for the last two months have not even had a loyalty discount applied to my account.
I'm after the Touch HD and am almost no longer an Orange customer (I have an outstanding order at mobiles.co.uk to move to O2) but wife is on Orange and I have, ludicrously, still got brand loyalty.
They're 'offering' me the Touch for £300 on a £35 a month contract!
My brother, also on Dolphin 35, has been offered 1200 mins, unlimited texts and data for £20 a month with the phone for £95.50.
I don't understand!?0 -
I saw the 02 Touch HD deal on mobiles.co.uk and after doing a little digging was put off after reading about their poor service. People waiting for months for orders to arrive, not being able to replace faulty handsets etc so beware.0

oh im already wary, like i say i've an outstanding order, been outstanding since 3rd Feb. But they've had stock in today supposedly (although I'm yet to have this officially told to me) so I should have it tomorrow.0
