I have recently upgraded my phone but only wanted 12 month contract got offered this deal which I have accepted

    Nokia N95 8gig £49.99
    600 mins
    500 mins

All for a mere £20 a month which includes £20 a month discount so basically its half price entire contract, im a happy chappy

Was given option to have N96 but phone would cost £97.50 and £10 discount each month on 12 month contract which would have cost £30 a month which I rejected

Did they have the phone in stock
I was promised one over a week ago
Pay £175 for the phone but get £200 cashback
£15PM for data, 300 mins and 100 texts

STILL WAITING FOR PHONE TO COME INTO STOCK:mad:
  • I just upgraded my phone and plan with Orange.

I was on Dolphin 25 for 18 months.

I saw an online offer for Dolphin 35 18 month @ £24.46 with a free LG KC910 (which is the phone I really want!)

Phoned upgrades who were very short with me and told me I couldn't have that offer and that I'd have to pay £195 for the phone!! I was like "...oh..." and she didn't say anything for a very long time then said "well if you want to cancel then I'll put you through" I didn't say anything about cancelling!

I got put through to a lovely bloke who gave me the online offer straight away and the phone will be with me on Friday! I wish I'd have bargained with him a bit more but I lost my nerve haha :o
  • Can you barter with Orange Broadband deals as an add on when calling about your phone? I see some people have been offered deals on that...

Would you be able to barter down the price of say their Home Max deal?

    Thanks

Well, I just agreed to renew my contract (with 3 months still to go)

I got HTC touch HD (incl 8Gb card) for £29.

500 texts, 1200 mins, unlimited Data 18 months
    for £27/ month......to me, that's a result!

Basically, after getting yesterday's offer, I asked them to record it.
When I called back today, that was the starting point for negotiation and I told them that 02 were offering a similar package, but for the Omnia. Orange dont do the Omnia anymore.

So basically the bloke in retentions dropped nearly a tenner off the monthly tariff, and I bit his arm off.

    Another happy Orange customer!
  • Ok so this was my thread originally - dosent seem that long ago. Spoke with Orange this afternoon and well pleased with HTC Touch HD due friday. These Touch HD retention deals look amazing. Any chance a new customer could negotiate one of these too?

Sorry folks this is probably a daft question. :o
My son has an orange contract phone that he got form the Orange high street shop. When he come to the end of contract and wants a better deal does he go back to the shop or ring retentions?

Thank you and happy new year all.

    retentions have all the power
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)
  • Apologies if this is a daft question, but what difference does it make if you took your contract out indirectly - i.e for me it was with Phones4u? Do you still approach Orange for the retentions deal or do you deal with Phones4u?

I still have a while to wait (summer) but I want to know in advance. Also, what period before your contract is up is the best to try and get a retention deal?
