They are not disparaging ALL other suppliers, but just assuring you of their own, which is fair. I believe that there are loads of so called health/vitamin/supplement suppliers out there who do not manufacture to pharmaceutical standards and we just have to be careful.
I expect Art's Quote actually came from Healthspan's brochure and the implication that other unnamed companies use non_pharmaceutical standard material doesn't apply to Zipvit is a leading producer of quality vitamins and supplements. All our products are formulated by experts in the field of nutrition, using ingredients of pharmaceutical quality. so if it isn't Zipvit who are they accusing of using substandard products and I'm sure those who have the Simply Supplements catalogue will be able to read Not only are we using 'PHARMACEUTICAL GRADE' Glucosamine sulphate (potassium form) for all our products, but we also use 'Marine Chondroitin' sourced exclusively from fish.
So ART'S previous Bovine worries are also unnecessary.
(Edit: Because the Simply Supplements catalogue doesn't actually make the claim that all their products are pharmaceutical grade I have checked with them directly and have been assured categorically that ALL SIMPLY SUPPLEMENTS PRODUCTS are PHARMACEUTICAL GRADE just in case anyone has any remaining doubts.)

As for the 1500mg Zipvit ones, we tried these ages ago and found them extremely difficult to swallow, like many others. Ended up crushing them, adding fruit juice - ghastly. Would rather pay a bit more for easier size.
The Zipvit Catalogue states at the end of the Glucosamine Sulphate 1500mg page, This product is supplied as a large tablet, and as such may be difficult to swallow. They also (on page 80) give an indication of their pills sizes coded by letter and it is quite clear that S is the largest they do.

Apart from the fact that ZIPVIT are a UK company, paying UK tax, they are also a family company. They therefore don't have to pay shareholders and can thus be more competitive with their prices.

Healthspan clearly have a much more expensive website, they have a more expensive catalogue, they spend more on advertising and clearly employ excellent copywriters. It's all got to come from somewhere.

Just had a flyer from a company in Swindon, and some of their special offers on small 60 tablet bottles seem better value than their 360 packs, and sem competetive with free P&P.. Plus free gift of 7 stackable Pill Tower + free months supply of Vit C 500mg with Citrous Bio... whatever that is.

The freebies only seem to be in the paper catalogue not online.

    The Omega 3 fish oil 447mg ( 157mg,EPA, 105mg DHA looks good value at 60 for £1.95, as 360 cost £13.95, and 1000mg pots of 60 cost £7.95!

Only had the free Zipfit offers so far , so not up to speed on prices. So please be gentle with me Ted, ;)

Survivor of debt, redundancy, endowment scams, share crashes, sky-high inflation, lousy financial advice, and multiple house price booms. Comfortably retired after learning to back my own judgement.
This is not advice - hopefully it's common sense..

You may find the Flyer has a code in it which allows you (or us) to access these prices and the special offer online.

Another supplier for the list. As Ted H says they are good prices, but getting back to a previous discussion on this thread, how can we be assured of the quality of the products, not just from Hellenia but any other new supplier. I don't know this company, but couldn't find anything reassuring on their website. How long have you been buying from them John and are they a long-established company ?

Excuse me if this is a dumb question, but are these supplements regulated in any way or can anyone sell anything?

I take Glucosamine and my GP writes me a prescription for them.

I admit I am over 60 so do not pay for my scrip. But surely even if you pay for prescriptions it must be cheaper if the doctor prescribes?
