I've been searching for a link that is for vegetarian glucosamine available on presciption, which I'm sure Ted posted. I've had no luck so far finding it. Has anyone got this at hand? Thanks

Glucosomine is now available free to the over 60's with an NHS prescription. Just ask your doctor!

The NHS recently approved it after a trial that proved it had beneficial effects on joints.

Would like to mention that if it is from a charity they must be hoping to be included in the will, so it isn't really free is it ??

I know this is off topic, but whilst the charity may HOPE for a gift, there is no obligation.
Obviously if you are well off then you need to consider the morals of taking money from a charity.

I asked my doctor about this quite recently and he said that it was not really approved, although some doctors prescribed it for those clearly unable to purchase it themselves. I agreed with this philosophy and have continued to purchase. Also the prescribed stuff would be the basic Gluco, no additives like Chondroitin or MSM.

Haven't time to do it now but anyone interested can check out MEDICINES.ORG for glucosamine and chondroitin and I am sure you will find that this is a "medical" compound and as such is a "prescribable product"
But for those who have to pay for prescriptions you will probably find simply supplements are cheaper particularly if you ask them to pricematch Hellenia healthfoods for which there is a link somewhere in this thread.

It looks like a mistake because all other items on the web page are listed as 50% off, but one item is listed as 3.99 instead of 5.49 normal price 10.99.

I’ve ordered some today. I'll let you know if they honour the price and deliver.

The zipvit price for Veggie Glucosamine 750mg is £6.45 for 90 or £21.95 360 so the price from Wellbeing isn't so special esp when the ideal amount is 2 tablets daily so you do need quite a few to see if they will do you any good.

I agree with Ted, this price is not very good. 30 tabs x 750 mg. for £3.99, can be beaten easily by Healthspan (who are not always the cheapest, but have excellent procucts). They offer 90 x 750 mg. vegetarian Glucosamine for £6.95 incl. P & P.
