I'm ashamed to admit that I ate some of the Lidl chocolate marzipan bar last night. It was meant to be off limits until Christmas. Lush though. 😋
I bought one a few weeks ago for Christmas, lasted a day and hubby didn't get a look in!

Such a relief to find my seasonal marzipan binge is not a bizarre personal failing. Off likewise to resupply, and to put some into stockings before they register too powerfully…

fortunately marzipan is not a particular favourite which means I can leave it to the OH to mumble on.  but can someone please bring back coffee creams?  no one would be allowed to share if I had some of those!!!  Lidl has rose, mint and something else dreadful but no coffee creams!!!!

If you have a relative or offspring who enjoys wrestling with tempering chocolate, nudge them into trying to make them at home? OK they do then have you by the chocolate creams, but the said vice will can be tailored to your exact preferences.

In all honesty it's the faff with moulding that drives me to truffle-making instead. Alas neither Lidl nor Aldi stock Patience!

Coffee creams are my favourite but they seem to be missing in lots of places for a while now maybe they’ve gone out of favour and we are in a minority ?

ALDI Holly Lane Deep Fill Mince Pies already dropped 79p to 49p for a pack of 6 (!) Normally, that's nearer to the big day!
These are the cheaper ones that you might have for breakfast?
EWW!!!  I hope you are not serious!!       ;)
I had my first mince pie of the season for breakfast today. I'd stopped by at FarmFoods and found Mr Kiplings @ 2 packs for £1 so about the same. I had it with my first mug of tea for the day at midday and it was just ok, nothing to go crazy over I'm wondering who I can palm the remaining 11 off to. I am betting Aldi's Holly Lane are tastier.

So much to read, so little time.

Just had the Aldi Salt & Chiili pork bites, part of the party food range, really yummy, I'll be stocking up my freezer before they disappear.

Love coffee creams! Also noticed that supermarkets are not selling coffee cakes anymore- either in the slab form or their posh range.

if you have an Iceland these are good https://www.iceland.co.uk/p/whitakers-chocolates-coffee-creams-125g/88215.html

Thank you! I was sure I'd seen these somewhere, I thought it was Lidl and my local simply only had the rose, mint, orange etc that Brie mentioned. Now I have to decide, do I go for the marzipan bars in Lidl, or the coffee creams in Iceland.... (I know it's Christmas but I've already got a box of Lindt chocolates from my birthday to get through :D )

now the only question for me is do I go to Iceland and buy the coffee creams or send the OH so I can be given them for Christmas?  Or do I do both??
