  • The wool is very good value and also good quality if made in turkey (less so if made in China). I'm hoping there will be some left for me tomorrow

It's appearance is eagerly awaited by online knitting/crochet groups I'm part of

I was in Aldi this morning and multiple people had trolleys full of wool - must be a good offer on!
Once one person packs their trolley others tend to follow.

A bit like sheep then? :D

Sunday was a Craft and Hobbies middle-aisle special, so lots of wool/yarn/painting/charcoal/pens etc. stuff has returned.

  • Are Lidl stocking yarn?  I don't call it wool as it is acrylic these days!  I am knitting poppies for the church tower.  I've been buying yarn at Home Bargains £1.29 a large ball.
  • I've never seen it in Lidl
    Aldi have some in stock

I did see some earlier but no idea about type/price I'm afraid.

    In Aldi today

assorted yarn- 100g balls- D.K, Aran, chunky, rainbow. All £1.29. I wanted white D K- no, only cream & the red is more orangey than scarlet

Budget Essentials Apple & Orange juice is back @ 79 pence per litre

I weaned myself off their double chocolate mocha coffee sachets- probably a good thing as they no longer have their own, only Nescafe at N's inflated price!

Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Lidl has little meatballs, 340g for £2.19.  Same weight and price as the big ones but 20 instead of 12.  Better than me buying the 24 big ones for £4.19.

Ours had all the cheeses and lots of other stuff out yesterday.  But today the freezers were also full of pizzas.

  • Husband went to the one by his office and it didn't have any of the cheeses we wanted. He will go to local store tomorrow.
