^^^ haven't seen any of them there for at least a couple of weeks.
Yesterday there was barely any kind of egg- huge open space.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

These are delicious gently warmed and unadorned - probably because of the high sugar content! (Blue dot indicates there is a new recipe, the red sticker gave me 75% off so at 4 for 38p it was a good purchase
).

In Aldi yesterday
Graham's kefir yogurt- £1.09 for 350g tastes delicious. Good price too
bought plain & passion fruit, mango & papaya variant. Think there is also strawberry.
This seems to be the only product in Aldi (yogurts I mean) with live culture. Has 13 strains of live cultures
When you start looking around there are very few yogurts with live cultures available at all- YeoValley & Onken in the main.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

harz99 said:Is anyone else having problems getting ordinary eggs in Aldi, my local one has only had the expensive free range variety for at least two weeks now?
Please, no debates on the merits of free range or otherwise, this isn't the place.
Today in Aldi there were loads of eggs, completely stacked up
Now- free range eggs- 12 medium for £2.35
There were also half dozens
No space for anything else.
Lots of items have gone up by 10 pence each- cheapie spuds, cauliflowers........ so the price matches will increase tooBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Will be interesting to see what our meat guy has on offer tomorrow - we normally get our eggs (chicken and duck) from him too as well as bacon, pork and game.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Popped in the Stafford store today and noticed the spirits had also moved to the front much like my local store. It feels like a huge Aldi even compared to other new builds.1

Coupon confusion yesterday at Lidl. I was sure, very very sure, I had activated the free muffin coupon and knew that I also had a free baked good coupon too. So picked up my muffin and loaf of sour dough bread. Got to the till and scanned everything except the bread. And paid checking I'd got the free muffin. And then looked to activate the baked goods coupon but couldn't see it but did see the muffin one. So possible mistake.
So being (unfortunately) on the self service (as no other tills were open) I called the lad over and asked "what do I do?" He kind of replied it was tough and he couldn't do anything but then agreed to get a manager.
Manager: "well obviously you had activated the baked goods coupon instead"
Me: "I could have sworn I'd activated the muffin coupon, not the baked goods one"
Manager: "well our system doesn't get it wrong so obviously it was you the made the mistake." (huffing)
Me: "are you sure? I was certain I'd chosen the muffin"
Manager: "YES!! Of course. The system is right and YOU are WRONG!!"
Me: "so you think I'm lying?"
Manager: "NO!!! I didn't say you were lying I said you were wrong!! Can't you see the difference?!" The system never gets it wrong! (huff huff huff) OK!! To make this easy I'll give you the loaf of bread for free!"
Me: "so I'm not lying?"
Manager: "Look. The system is right. I'll give you the bread. Take it or leave it." (stomps off)
Me: (highly annoyed) "OK!" (also ready to stomp out and then I notice I still have the free muffin coupon on my app so went and got another free muffin and thanked the nice young man looking after the tills.)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. just over halfway thru' the month and we have had a bit of a whistle stop tour of the Lidl bakery section courtesy of the spin the wheel this month, (the Lidl is very close to the swimming pool so we can nip in to checkout any discounts/pick up some salad or fruit), and it has most definitely reaffirmed our bakery preferences of croissant and the occasional pasteis de nata.Fashion on the Ration 2025 37/662

Didn't the Post Office also insist that their system couldn't possibly be wrong? The store manager appears to lack people skills, in your position @Brie I would be dashing a quick email off to Lidl CS. Draw their attention to the coupon blip as well as the attitude.
I have not felt the need to trouble Lidl at all this month - bakery goodies are a weakness and I would be eating one every day (and probably buying more whilst I am there). No man is worth crawling on this earth.
