Good and Bad Buys at Lidl and Aldi stores (***Please don't expire***)

I don’t know about the salmon en croutes, but as a possible alternative I highly recommend the frozen Specially Selected salmon wellingtons. The cheese & dill one is my favourite, but they also have prawn & white wine, or leek & cheese filling.red_imps_2003 said:A year or so back I 'discovered' Aldi Specially Selected Salmon en croutes, which were yummy. I bought them two or three times over successive weeks and haven't seen them since. Anybody had sight of them lately? I'm in the North East, but have spot checked several stores in the area occasionally in the interim to no avail.
Edit: The site says 'out of stock', which probably answers my question, but the button/label is greyed out so not sure whether that means it is or it isn't.1 -
Lidl has more NZ lamb chops from 21/03 as well as Italian stuff like olives and beef carpaccio. Mediterranean fruit trees 70-80cm H as well, including grapes, kiwis, lemons and figs.3

Husband will be attempting to buy some olive wood bowls at Lidl on Sunday and NZ lamb chops 8 for 7.99.
Can anyone tell me whether Lidl does non wheat pastas e.g. Lentil ? If so I will put on his shopping list. Thanks.1 -
We had these for pud last night -

They're lovely. I don’t know what a yuzu is, but the picture looked like a lemon so I lifted a pack. They’ve a sweet sharpness to them, more like a lime than lemon. I’ll be buying them again for sure. Also while I was in Lidl I noticed their cheapo alcohol free mouthwash is half the price of Aldi’s - 49p v 99p (from memory)."One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate change policy is environmental policy. Instead, climate change policy is about how we redistribute de facto the world's wealth." - Ottmar Edenhofer, IPCC economist, interviewed at COP164 -
Have been watching a lot of YouTube videos on the Mediterranean Diet and in particular, Cretan food. Today, YouTube showed me an ad for Lidl several times - in Greek ! 😂5

I'll be up there.
I like to have a stock of mashed carrots & swede and cabbage in the freezer to add to mashed potato for shepherds pie topping.2 -
Aldi's Ballycastle is on offer at £2.99 this weekend. Typically, the shelves were bare when I visited late on Thursday evening...No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0
