Good and Bad Buys at Lidl and Aldi stores (***Please don't expire***)

I heard about the Middle of Lidl 50% sale on the radio (perks of listening to channels with ads).
It covers all the non-food items in the middle aisle areas - so not Christmas food, and not non-food items elsewhere in the store.
I bought several items today, and I think they are quite good value - DIY Hand Tools for £1.50 each, a Christmassy LED Lantern for £2.49, and a Digital Radiator Thermostat for £6.50.
There were no issues at the till, and the discount was automatically applied after scanning my Lidl App QR code.3 -
I bought some green garden rubbish sacks from Lidl and was very disappointed. They are so thin they are almost translucent. I had to use 2 doubled up to put ordinary rubbish in. I’ve always found their black bin liners to be very good

Just got some ski trousers for £8, which will be great for dog walking. And a Christmas top that wasn’t on the list but for £2.50 I couldn’t really say no.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
Aldi's problems with fresh fruit and veg don't seem to have been resolved yet. Tomatoes and clementines both sprouting an interesting crop of green mould within a few days of purchase. I'm a fan of Aldi generally speaking but they do need to get a grip on this..2

Cabbagetown!! And being very close to the Don Valley and Riverdale park and farm in particular we had raccoons everywhere!! One of my brothers luckily lives on Wards Island so doesn't have to deal with the raccoons.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Just found out that Aldi coffee pods can now be recycled using the "Podback" scheme. I've been using this for a while to recycle Dolce Gusto pods.1
