Got cherry liqueurs in Aldi. Had not seen them in Lidl this year unless anyone knows different.
Was hoping to get the £4.95 a kilo beef in Aldi that someone mentioned and is also on their website.
Alas, there wasn't any, not really surprised at that price.
    I mentioned it.
I went back yesterday and got 2 more and left the last 4 for someone else.
I also got a piece of pork loin for just over £8 that cut into 8 very nice pieces, much better than buying a precut pack of 8.

Spotted this in Aldi this morning.  I didn’t buy one cos I could never make it last ‘til 1st Dec, and buying multiples wouldn’t fit in my fridge :disappointed:

This isn’t a Lidl product, you can buy these in many places.  The biggest problem is you are supposed to keep it in the fridge.  I bought one 2 years ago, I wasn’t very impressed.
What was wrong with it?  Too tiddly or did you not like the selection.  I've been wondering if I should nudge someone to buy it for my birthday.
I bought it for my husband.   It had a lot of highly flavoured cheese some of which weren’t that pleasant.  Some were still in the fridge after 6 months.  However we eat a lot of artisan cheeses so can be a bit fussy.

Even though it hasn't got good reports on here, for anyone wanting to try the Ilchester cheese Advent Calendar, check out Lidl. It was down to £4.99 in my local Lidl yesterday.

Going by @maman 's calculation that is still >£13.50/kg, the same as a mid-priced cheese from a deli counter.

I didn't buy it, so have no idea what it weighs and therefore no idea of the price per kilo. Just thought if anyone was interested in buying it, a fiver is much better than £9 or £10.

For anyone who hasn't had a win on a Lidl scratchcard - I finally have, and am entirely underwhelmed by it:

Asda has the decency to stick actually credit in your cash pot, this is a disincentive if anything!
A year or so ago I spent £25 on shopping in Lidl and won the value of my shopping on the scratchcard so I went straight back and spent the £25 on stuff I didn't need at the time but that I could freeze and use later.
Someone please tell me what money is

I popped into Lidl today and the entire middle aisle was 50% off.

I noticed a £90 sewing machine that would be £45

I haven't seen this flagged up anywhere so it was a bit of a surprise

It is on the app, but Black Friday deals are excluded.

Just checked hduk and it started today - lasts till Friday. A few posta are saying that stock is disappearing fast. It's all non-food items in the middle aisle
  • Not a huge amount left in the large store today, but I bought the following at 1/2 price earlier:
    - men's fleece-lined gardening clogs: £3.49
    - Salter digital bathroom scales (app compatible, breaks down mass into fat / muscle / water etc): £7.49
    - plug-in energy consumption checker: £3.99
    - mattress topper: £4.49
    - kitchen apron: £2.49

And I got a "free" bag of chocolate money as I spent over £25.
